I can't be certain of the numbers or time frame... but after the announcement of the first reinforcement wave you have to eliminate the basement escapees and then the last guys in the barn in a chain and within a certain amount of time.

I tried doing Solomon but I found Tesoro Azul much easier doing it by myself. If you have the Sniper Rifle (Rolling Block or Carcano) when you get to Tesoro, take out the guys on the roof from the left hill and then go in with the High Power Pistol and stay by the doors to take out the guys near the crates and walls. Once you clear enough of them, go to the building at your right just as you enter the gates in front of the ammo crate. Stay near the wall of the building, just in front of the gates and take out the remaining men (and loading up on ammo) until the reinforcement comes.
They will come in two waves and here is where it gets tricky. The pattern is always the same. The first reinforcement consist of two to three people coming from the outside and entering Tesoro through the gates. If you stay by the wall, you can easily take out the men as soon as they enter, however, there's a rider throwing fire bottle, making it risky in staying but the wall as it will eventually hit you. Stay long enough to take out the first men coming through the gates and then you need to go outside Tesoro to take out the rider and some of the guys hiding in the bushes outside. Rely on your HUD and even if you don't see them, just aim (if you have it on casual and normal) and just fire away. The second wave of reinforcement is similar with the only difference being that there's more of the men outside that you need to take out. The fire bottle horse riders and the guy with the throwing knife are the most annoying.

This particular strategy got me with the Double XP, close to 2500 to 3000 XP for each run. A more experienced player could probably get more but I'm happy with the results. Remember, don't kill the whores as you get bonus points for keeping them alive.

I just started the game. I've played about 2 hours, and suddenly the game stopped working (360 version). I was riding my horse when the horse started skipping around the screen. I hit "y" to dismount the horse, but was stuck. I powered down the 360, and restarted the game, but it will not even load the game. I checked the disc for any damage and found none.

Any ideas?

This game has became notorious for having a shitload of glitches. I would suggest to keep trying, but if that doesn't work you might have to start over with your save game.

Before the Double XP weekend started, I was at level 24. Today after it ended, I'm at level 46. Thanks to countless runs of Tesoro Azul and Pike's Basin.

I think I would had hit Level 50 if I didn't have network problems all weekend long. I don't know the number of times I lost connection when I was doing hideouts or playing co-op missions. I rarely got kicked out on Free Roam but this weekend was a total different story. I'm hoping that the connection problems were due to the large number of people playing and things will go back to normal now especially with a RDR night coming up this Wednesday.

Also can somebody tell me what happens after you hit Level 50? What is this "Legendary" status?

Unfortunately I had a more busy weekend than I'd anticipated. I'd hoped to rank up to 50 so I didn't have to worry about all the grinding... but alas... I'm still on 39. Signed on this morning. Finally got my Most Wanted trophy. All the dudes in the Free Roam were doing hideouts. Nobody even bothered with me. But I was holed up on the second floor of the Presidio tower with my semi-auto shotgun trained on the ladder. Bitches weren't going to get me this time.

Just one more gripe about fuckstuckdouchenozzles in Free Roam and then I'll be done. I was doing me regular Solomon's Folly routine and this fuckstickdouchenozzle just keeps riding around and shotgunning me. I'm not even bothering to fight back. You don't get enough XP to make this shit worthwhile. So what's the fucking attraction? Okay. End rant.

What's the rush to get to 50? You think there won't be another bonus exp weekend? 2x is just the tip of the iceberg, man. They still have many more announced DLC packages to "celebrate" with more free exp.

I used the double xp weekend to boost all the way from level 18 to level 21. In other words, I didn't have much time to be on, lol.

I'm planning to be there, unless my babies conspire against me. But if I am awake and reasonably well rested, I'll be on.

You will get the first legendary character, you will lose all progress on your journal challenges, all weapons earned, all your mounts, and start at level 1 again. However, you do keep all characters and titles you have earned. To be perfectly honest the only reason to cross into legend is to get the new "Legendary" trophy that came out with the legends and killers pack.

Yea there is alot of "bitchassness" goin around in freeroam, but you can do all that stuff you named in private free roam. Meaning you will be alone to get all your trophies and grinding.

Yeah, I heart Private Free Roam but I always forget to switch because most people are all out there just grinding away too.

Thanks. I wasn't aware of that and it certainly blows since it was a real pain grinding out to where I'm now. I'm also fond of two weapons: High Power Pistol and the Bolt Action Rifle since it made my gang hideout runs this past weekend so much easier. It would have been a real drag to do those runs with a repeater.

But those locations are just for the gang matches and such, right? They don't enhance free roam. I haven't done anything but free roam because I don't much care for the traditional online (team) competitive experience.

Use the plus sign and then on your last quote, use the quote button. So if you are quoting two people, use the plus button for the first person and then the quote button for the second.
