Notice the little triangle in the purple dot? It's pointing down, meaning he's below you.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

I just have to do one more mission on hard to get gold on all the advanced coop missions.(normal was easy) I have been doing them with only 1 other guy, and it has been a blast. Last night it took us 58 minutes to beat Escape. That was a fucking rush. You don't put an hour into one coop mission on hard, and get that far with just one other person, to die at the very end. The real hard part was the duel toward the end. 2 vs 7 on hard is not fun, or actually it was fun as shit. We both just rolled and shot right from the start, and I actually made it to a rock while as close to death as you can get. I still don't know how I made that. We both were at 7000 a piece at the end of that mission.

Hard (advanced) with only one other person on coop is pushing Red Dead past Mass Effect 2 as game of the year....

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Thanks guys I feel like a total douche. Last night I was looking like crazy and saw there was mine below and by mistake jumped in the hole and died and THEN I went around and found him. Now if I could only access the Tall Tress area I can get stuff I need I just gotta to more story and less journal stuff.

Is it just me or does the framerate go into the crapper when you get up to Great Plains? Least on 360 it does.

Yeah, it does (I play on the 360 as well).

I played the new multiplayer map pack last night with two friends......I think I may be done with the mp now.....as someone said previous; it's nowhere near as good as they made it out to be.

I'll prob end up going back to mp once I'm done with MW2 (still at level 68).

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

I just finished the game.

Spoiler:
I'm really want to hear the different and creative things that people did to Agent Ross' wife and brother. I killed the Government Agent in Blackwater that gave me the information to tie up any lose ends, I shot the lantern on the porch at their house burning Agent Ross' wife alive and put a couple bullets in her for good measure, then shot out both of his brother's knees, hogtied him and then slit his throat. I love how after you beat Agent Ross in the duel his body falls into the river full of bullets and the Red Dead Redemption title card comes up ending one of the most badass games I have ever played.
I'm at about 90% completion so I'm not quite done playing it yet. Does anyone know what breed of horse you get after the last mission? It's has a white face and a gray body, I can't really tell but it seems faster then the Hungarian Half-Breed I had before.

The multiplayer is definitely growing on me. Been having a lot of fun on it lately.

I think there are some great things about the multiplayer... but there are a lot of things that can be spoiled by a couple of hyperleveled douchenozzles who probably all exploited the glitch the night the DLC came out.

I'm never one to devote much time to these endeavors, but I'm seriously thinking about leveling up for that white buffalo mount. I wish I could use custom theme songs because Ted Nugent would be on constant rotation.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Finally got some co-op in but ony two of us except the "Gold" mission we got a third. We didn 't do too bad for two but it's obvious three or four is the way to go. We gave up on "The Herd" mission because the rustlers kept shooting all the cattle. Plus they kept on shooting my horse not just once but a few times. Enjoyed it and hope they're working on more for later on.

Yeah, I ran into that the other night. I was doing the bear hunting challenge up near Tall Trees. These two idiots just kept trying to kill me. I had the high powered pistol and would just hide behind a tree and pick them off. They finally left. I don't engage anyone in free roam unless they start shooting at me first.

hah, that Blooper video has some great stuff! I've seen all kinds of whacky glitches so far in this game. I think my favorite happened just the other night. For some reason in Free Roam it was raining dead deer for about 15 seconds.

1:18 is straight out of a Road Runner cartoon. I laughed pretty hard at that.

I'm trying to figure out why the Sawedoff Shotgun is still not available at the Thieves Landing Gunsmith shop. Is there a certain mission tha has to be done to unlock it or what?

Everytime I pop this in to knock out a couple of missions I am just blown away by the quality of the voice acting. The good acting makes the story better than it is and it really sucks me in.

I got the sawed-off shotgun very early on. I think it's a mission reward.

i checked some guide and it said it's available at Theives Landing Gunsmith and that's all. Doesn't reference a mission like some of the other guns. Does it matter if you have a normal shotgun already and just prevents you from buying?

UPDATE: From another guide you have to complete the Pike's Basin Hideout first before it's available. Sorry about that.

I don't think I used a shotgun once in the game.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

I've got a question about random horses and ones you lasso. Is there a way you can tell when you get a average, good or great one either by lasso, off a dead gang member or in town?

I don't know how far you are but if you ever do make it to the missions towards the end.....just wait, the voice acting on the last one of your former gang members is freakin' outstanding....you're basically playing a movie at that point.

Re: Official Larry C Red Dead Redemption thread!!!

Hmmm. I was just playing poker with a $250 pot. I was the chip leader in heads up and the butt-hole AI player cheated me out of the pot. No matter what I had, he had better. I had a high pair? He had two pair. I had three of a kind? He had a straight. I had a flush? He had a full house. I have no doubt that if I had managed to get a royal flush, he would have had a super duper royal flush or something.

Anyway, I decide to take matters into my own hands. I put on my trusty bandanna, pull out my six shooter, and place a bullet right in the middle of his forehead. Whereupon I loot the body and find ... $7. Seven dollars!? Shouldn't he have the $250 from the poker game?
