Re: Brink Game official thread

We should be getting the new dlc next week...free

* New Maps: Founder's Tower and Labs.
* New Weapons Attachments: Bayonets and Weapon Shields.
* New Outfits: The Sad Punk and The Limey.
* New Abilities: UAV for Operatives, Napalm Grenade for Soldiers, Pyro Mine for Engineers, Field Regen Unit for Medics, Tactical Scanner for any class.
* New Level Cap: Players can now take their characters to Level 24.

Also, counting PC digital sales, Brink has now passed 1 million units sold..

Well I'm hanging in there though haven't played in awhile. I'm hoping this new dlc will help a bit. If not it'll help for additional funds to BF:3, GOW 3, COD;MWF, or Rage

Personally I've found co-op is the way to go in this game. Lag becomes nonexistant and communicating with your human alies really makes the game shine.

Agree but as long as you have at least four human players and everyone is on the same page. I've hooked up with some here in a group and everyone is one the same page while randon coop matches can be a hit or miss. That's because at least one or two are clueless as to the objective or just free roaming. I'm far more comfortable in the coop play with now.

Good point randoms can be total idiots and tend to just go for kills rather than the objective.

Re: Brink Game official thread

just a heads up for everyone to pick up the brink dlc for free...after Tuesday it goes up to 10 bucks...

Also last I checked the game has sold 1.3-1.5 million copies (I have no idea what the pc digital version did since they don't release that info...but if it mimics many new pc games, then it will have sold 2-1 better than the physical copy, in which case the game is now at 1.5 million copies) so even with the bad reviews, the game made money....

Downloaded it, but haven't tried it out. I'm going to be play with some friends tonight, but unless there is a drastic change in quality and it's a lot of fun then I think we'll all just trade it in. The menu system for games is non-existent, online play can be incredibly buggy, and games are often not balanced well.

Now $9.99 @ Amazon (or $7.49 "like new" in the warehouse deals)

Worth it?

I never did pick this up from Amazon, but I did rent it from the library this weekend. Overall, I thought it was a short but good time. I only played the SP with the bots, but things seemed fair. Don’t know if they fixed some of the issues with the most recent patches. I had to replay a couple missions, but not to the point where it was frustrating. Finished all of the missions in a little over 3hrs, and there isn’t really a reason to go back and play again once your done, so I wouldn’t recommend it for a purchase. But definitely check it out on a rental if you’re interested. Thought it was nice to have something a little different with all of the other FPS out there.
