Seems like it depends on what difficulty you start at. I played on Normal, and estimate it took 9-11 hours. I know of guys who played on hard and said took 4 hours to get through Episode 3 alone.

But on normal, expect ~2 hours per episode.

Should I get the Limited Edition? Is the game that special? (I like LEs for special games.)

If you enjoy LEs, then sure.

The game is quite good. I was let down however by the final "boss battle". It was not a challenge at all.

Re: Alan Wake

L&O...nice review on ur blog and got me interested in this game when i never had any at all. i am all for atmosphere and a dark and foreboding horror game.

any news of the screen tearing correction in the future? did it still happen throughout the game to completion?

No word from Remedy on tearing. It sounds like some reviewers didn't notice any at all.

Will there be a demo?

A demo for Alan Wake will not be released prior to the game's launch. It is still as yet undecided if there will be a demo post-launch.

Re: Alan Wake

I just watched the three available Bright Falls videos and now I'm too scared to play this game. Or come out from under my desk.

Re: Alan Wake

So is this game a sandbox style or is it more of a Max Payne (also by remedy...with rockstar) type game?

I ask because a couple of reviews mention the game is pretty short - I would like more to do after I beat it - the fact that games aren't cheap makes me bring this up - I would like to be able to free roam if possible.

Re: Alan Wake

It's not sandbox. The areas are generally pretty wide open however, but it's a linear game which is perfect for the storytelling they are trying to do here.

[spoilre]Alan Wake is an anagram of "Weak Anal". This fact becomes a major plot point in Chapter 4.[/spoiler]

Re: Alan Wake

Is this always going to be a 360 exclusive, as in, did Microsoft produce it or something? It looks really awesome but I only have a PS3 and Wii.

Re: Alan Wake

MSFT published it, so it's unlikely to make it to the ps3 or wii. Even the PC version was shelved.
