a movie! (probably not though, just wishful thinking)

or maybe a spinoff game playing as a different character (like Barry)

Kinect Wake? Night Springs: The Video Game? Bright Falls Part Deux?

The phrasing makes it sound like it's going to be a rail shooter like Dead Space Extraction, but I'm not sure that would make sense on the 360 unless they're doing it with the Kinect somehow.

G4 is saying there are no details about it yet but the next Wake game will be an XBLA release.

Sounds like it's a Night Springs game.

If there is any truth to this rumor, I guess they're at least doing good with the lead time. I seem to recall everybody being blown away by the original teaser, but they the game was tied up in development for years. By the time it came out the graphics weren't that revolutionary.

Spencer also insisted that Microsoft Studios had no next-gen games in development and was instead completely focused on Xbox 360 and Kinect software.

I think it would be a great launch title if they can get it done in time. With that type of atmosphere, it would look fantastic on a next gen system. I’d buy it.

I think it would be a terrible launch title. Following the past 25 years in gaming, we can all but guarantee a fall system launch. With a fall launch comes a deluge of huge games. A CoD game is a sure-fire bet. Then you toss in an exclusive like Halo and you are already pushing Alan Wake 2 down the "must buy" list at launch. Never mind that the original failed to make an impact in the spring.

Launching with AW2 would be reminiscent of Condemned. It's not going to be on the top of most people's purchase list no matter how great it might be...but, it will find an audience over time like Condemned and the original AW. I seriously doubt it will be at the top of the launch games "buzz."

If that's the case then I would also prefer Rockstar waits with GTA V until the next console launch.....does anyone have any further detail of developers already working on games for next gen consoles? Interesting.
