It was apparently too complicated for Amazon to send Battlefield: BC 2 and this together. Battlefield just arrived.

The only complaints so far on CAG are that there are some awkward waives/trades made by the CPU during Franchise mode. I guess a guy simmed about 5 different leagues and the BoSox traded Beckett in each one.

I always thought it was odd how the camera showed a home run and you never got to see a player celebrate.

I believe that he is in the last year of his contract so that is likely playing into the computers thinking for the trade.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd

Anyone have success downloading the 6 classic stadiums? I put in the code from the pre-order card, but never got a download screen and now when I put in the code again, it tells me the code is used or invalid. If I did download the stadiums, where do I find them?

I tried selecting them for use in an exhibition game and the game told me I had to be connected to PSN for use, which I am, since the system signs me in automatically when I start the PS3.

I preordered from amazon and have yet to get my code. Does anyone know how they give it to you and when?

They may not be available yet. Zekeburger, remember how it had that May 4th date on there? I believe that's a mistake, but the release date could still be in the future. It's possible that they don't actually have them finished yet.

Amazon is supposed to email you the code within 10 business days.

It seems no matter what the content is, the DLC doesn't get released until the store update on Thursday evening. It's incredibly stupid, but that's how it seems to work in the PSN store almost always.

I created my RTTS guy, a SP. Got drafted by the Mariners. First AA game I played I went 5 IP and got the win in long relief. Pretty fun so far. I like the training and everything to improve your stats.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd

I haven't played a baseball game since MVP died, just got a PS3 on black friday, and my timing is all off. I started my franchise and my first 3 batters all struck out

I gave up on that for and started my RTTS pitcher. I was drafted by the Rangers and my first game I got rocked and took the loss. I've playrd through the first month and am 3-1 in reliefe and have only allowed one run since.

I had no idea that the store updated on Thursday nights. Thanks!

I made myself as a shortstop in the Indians organization. Considering that they suck in the game, I should be called up by the 3rd week of the season.

My amazon order has said shipping "soon" since last night. I don't think that word means what they think it means.

Ive emailed them twice complaining now. and of course they only reply w/ standard responses. this was the latest response i received a half hour ago..

Hello,

I'm sorry that your order has not shipped yet. Since the video game is on high demand, we are having difficulties processing the stock from the manufacturer.

I can confirm that we still expect to ship your order by March 2, 2010. It should be delivered to you by end of March 2, 2010 or on March 3, 2010.

I will personally follow-up with your order and see that it is delivered to the earliest.

i responded yet again saying the point of a pre-order and 'release date delivery' is to have the damn game delivered to me on release date...not have it shipped on the day its released...

i couldnt wait any more so i went to target and picked it up. once the unopened copy arrives from amazon ill just return that to target.

Anyone else want to join? Also, for those that haven't posted your PSN id would you please let me know what they are. Thanks to everyone that will participate! It should be a lot of fun and some great stories and game recaps will likely come from it. I'm hoping to get the ball rolling around the 15th or so.

We're going to have a hell of a battle for the National League Central.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd

I created my RttS character, and got drafted by the Orioles. Hitting seems harder this year. I actually struck out 14 times in my first 30 at bats

But I like a challenge. I am batting like .179 with a few RBI and a stolen base so far in 10 games played.

I did notice a few bugs:

The steal home glitch is back. I was on third, and decided to steal home to test it, and I pressed down on the left stick to railroad the catcher. I knocked him down, and he held the ball, and I was called safe.

I singled in one inning, and was awarded a double even though I was on first the next play.

The commentator said something about "glad we were in a dome" and it was a minor league field without a roof

Graphically, it's practically identical to '09. But I like all the additions so far. Having a blast with Home Run Derby. Lost my first online game though (gave up a 2-run bomb in the 8th to lose the lead ).

Why didn't you just keep restarting until you got drafted by the Angels?

I went starting pitcher again this year. I figure it shouldn't be too hard working my way into the Angels rotation.

I think my favorite part of the game may be picking my intro music

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd

How will the league work? As in how much time will we have to arrange our games between each other? I'd like to join, but I work a lot of days and nights so it's hard to schedule stuff sometimes. Oh and I will probably get my ass handed to me most of the time because I'm not very good. But I'd be happy to join if you want more peeps, put me down for the Washington Nationals.
I'm not a Nationals fan just so you know, but the Montreal Expos were always my favorite team (until they ceased to exist), plus at least with the Nationals I would have an excuse to suck.

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd

I picked the game up at Best Buy and will return my Amazon copy when it gets here. I decided to start trophy hunting out of the gate. The home runs in various ballparks trophies are fairly easy to get in Home Run Derby. The only one I had a little trouble with was hitting the apple at Citi Field, but I got it on the second derby I played there. Fenway is the only one you can't get in Derby, so I don't have that one yet.

I also got the trophy for changing music for a team. Got the 30+ Home runs in a single derby using Babe Ruth. I got 19 in a single round, hopefully that means I can get the Hamilwho? trophy soon.

I figure this would be the best way to get to know the controls of the game.

I'm TheScott75 on PSN and I'll join the league. I'll take the Padres or the Angels if noone else wants 'em.

I'm having fun with that too. It's something most people would never think to ask for in a baseball game, but if you've spent a lot of time at a ballpark, you get a lot of songs stuck in your head. It's just one more of those things that makes the game a bit more "real."

Re: MLB '10: The Show (PS3, PS2, PSP) - March 2nd

Got my copy...haven't had a chance to play. I will probably do a RTTS until someone on Operation Sports creates an authentic AA/AAA roster. I think they usually wait until opening day.

Also, apparently the rosters are screwed up with players not progressing...I think they said it would be fixed on the 8th. I will wait until then I suppose.
