Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Do they really think I'm foolish enough to re-buy a GTA game I already own just for prettier graphics and new achievements?
-- Okay, but do they think I'm going to do it twice in the same month? Probably not. You never know, though... |

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
If it were Vice City, I'd be all over it. San Andreas is the only GTA games that didn't grab my attention for very long.

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
San Andreas released today at a sale price of $3.74. That's 75% off the announced price. It may only be a one-day sale or even a pricing error, so get it now if you want it.

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Thanks for the tip, MoviePage. I completed the transaction and it was indeed that cheap, even in Canada. Great price.

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Thanks for the heads up. I doubt it's a mistake though. I wasn't gonna buy it at $15, but it was a no-brainer at $3.75. So that's $3.75 they wouldn't have gotten had they priced it at $15. Now, how many people are buying it today at $3.75 who would've still gotten it at $15, is another matter.

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
It's sad that i'm tempted, but I had to remind myself that game is frequently cheap on PC and that I don't want to buy any more games for the 360 not knowing how long i would keep that console around.
San Andreas was the only GTA game I never really got in to, and it would be nice to give it another shot. |

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
San Andreas is still currently that price as well. Hopefully it stays that way until I get home when I can log into my console. Again, no brainer @ ~4.

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
It's that price on the website too now. Must be part of the 10th Anniversary sale. Nice deal

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
Weird price. I picked it up.
Question - my HD is full. I have an old Xbox Elite, 120 GB HD. Apart from continually deleting things and hoping they remain on the marketplace if/when I want to re-download them, what are my options? |

Get a USB

Your <s>best</s> only bet if you don't want to do that is to buy another hard drive. You can get third-party 250, 320, or 500 GB hard drives on Amazon or eBay. |

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
If there are any other Canadians on here, who also happen to use the "future is friendly" ISP who is discontinuing their official XBOX 360 app, check your emails:
They sent one in December and one in January ("Important information about ____"). Read them both. Each one has a unique code for 12 months of Live. I'm good until March 2017 now. |

Long overdue and very welcome.

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
That's cool, I had bought a 3rd party internal drive and it feels slow compared to the original; might get a cheap portable to use instead.

You'll be able to use externals on a 360? That is great news. I have 2 different 250 GB drives full currently.

Re: The official Xbox 360 thread - the console of choice on nuclear submarines
I hope that works on older systems. I still have a Model 2 360

This seems to support the idea of a disc-less Xbox TV type device in the future. Hopefully they keep the HDMI-in feature.
