I think his controller cracked at the base of the place you put in the battery pack.

Yeah, it took me staring at the pictures for a bit to see it as well.

Tried superglue but no dice, won't hold the battery. $60 paperweight. The silver transforming d-pad version to boot.

What's effed up is I've never dropped it, or anything.

Did you try a rubber band to keep the battery pack in?

My new 360 slim just did something weird, the system lost sync with my controller but the controller still shows synced. It just won't do anything. Had to take the battery out of the controller and restart it. Hopefully this isn't a sign of things to come.

Okay, I suffered through that last snorer of a debate, after missing the previous one. That makes it 3 out of 4 for me. When do I get my Halo armor?

I could've sworn I read Nov. 1 somewhere, but I can't find that now when searching.

Edit: moving deal info to correct thread.

I got it last night. I was going to play BL 2 for a half hour. That turned into 5 min with the download and install. For a second, I thought I was updating a PS3.

I really can't stand the "Windows Phone" look, with the colored blocks and stuff. It's really unappealing to me.

If it was the PS3, you would still be downloading the update... I now know that if I ever plan on buying someone a PS3, I should open it, update everything and charge the controllers.

Oddly enough I was hit with a PS3 system update last night and it was downloaded and finished in 10 minutes. I'll have to ask my kids if the 360 update has hit us and how long it took if it did (they play the hell out of Minecraft on it.)

I want to say the 360 update took longer than 10 minutes. My daughter was waiting to play Skylanders Giants.

The whole process took about 15-20 min last night.

An initial small download with a reboot. (3-5min)
Then another major download. (10-15min) No reboot.
Done.

I didn't turn the system on last night, updated this morning in under 10 mins.

I'm getting a kick out of the shock and horror of a 10 minute update on the 360 (first in 7 years thats's taken that long) while a 10 minute update on the PS3 would be orgasm inducing.
