Is this known, typically, as an easy game? I’m on normal, like all my games and only died once in like 2 hours of their gameplay time. And even that was a cheapie. Why doesn’t falling into lava and back to top not count as death? It would in most games…

Anyone know if you can change difficulty during game on Xbox? I know can do on PS5, but didn’t see anything in options menu…

And anyone know how to enlarge the damn map? I can’t see anything, glasses on. It’s so tiny. No button enlarges. Wtf?

some of these puzzles are mind bogging. i can't believe some figured on own. i'm in The Twilight Cathedral and admist to watching something online to figure out and it still is a little frustrating bc i can't always figure out where i am in comparison to walkthrough. i mean i know i missed a life shard and don't know if i can go back or where exactly it wast that i missed it. i keep missing on walkthrough i'm using. still so much fun and take Prince of Persia which i wanted to play bc of platforming and takes to another level.

i still would like to know if there is a way to enlarge the map. i can't even see the icons from legend. it's crazy.

also, when it says highest combo, is that how many hits you got on one enemy? bc it says my highest is 36 and there is now way an enemy lasted for 36 hits in a row. not even mini-bosses or harder enemies yet, so i'm not sure where getting that number from...

Fuck, so if I’m only mucking about in cathedral, which walkthrough said only chapter 1. Pretty safe to say I’ve got a ways to go? plus 2.5 more games with Genesis as .5.

I’m just loving this game and can’t wait to play again. Love when I get that itch back that, that not even hydrocortisone can cure.

i'll tell you the first boss is even hard. yes, Tiamat announces her attacks, but you got to be fast. and why the hell no health bar on the bosses at least? that would have helped. how you supposed to know?

This is no joke the most fun in a game, I’ve had since RDR1. I mean 2 totally different games and would be up at 11 on weekends playing RDR, just fucking hunting and selling good skins for hours. It was so fucking addicting. Great game, so much to do too.

But really surprised Darksiders mostly in mid to lower 80’s in reviews. Except for boss health bar, that may or may not be a legit gripe, this is the most addicting, fun game I’ve played in long time. RDR1 was 2010!

Sure there have been some great and fun games, Wolfenstein’s, Doom’s, Bulletstorm, others, but these 2 most fun. Many FPSs come next.

Has anyone played this on One or XBSX and knows how to enlarge map? I think bc higher resolution or something I read that DS1 doesn’t compensate for, but there’s got to be a way. I can’t see anything on the damn thing and I needs to read me some maps. Thx.

I can’t believe the map is so screwed. How could they not have fixed? I wonder if I move to external hd maybe won’t be as optimized or whatever and map normal. Nah, probably not. It’s a ease, but enjoyment certainly not taken away from this game. So fucking fun.

Does anyone who remembers this game, know how to get the impact rounds for Mercy?

I go to the Vulgrim location right before fight with big worm, Stygian? maybe? boss fight. I heard these help, I have 10,000 souls and don’t see them anywhere in his purchasing menus and heard these help to kill by shooting with Mercy and especially with the impact rounds.

can anyone help me out with this. i'm having a tough time and i'm wondering if it's lack of impact round. i can shoot at unmuffled work face, but not enough and keep going in circles with him, his wormy body guards for a long time and then i die. thx for anything...

Just doing some googling for an answer, most things I saw said impact rounds weren't all that great.

Anyone know how I can get past this worm and little buddy worms? I can get faceplate off but that’s about it.

Yeah, I’ve been having problems sticking to one. Avengers has been best, or most fun so far. But I would like to finish D1.

Have you tried any video walkthroughs? Googling that brought up a ton of videos and text guides. I remember that one being a challenge, for sure.

Yes. They mostly said get the special bullets from Vulgrim, but I went to him right before fight and they were no where for sale and I had plenty of souls. So, I’ve been going without and don’t think I harmed it except for muzzle. That’s what’s frustrating. But thanks mndtrp.

If I remember correctly, and it's been a long time, I think I just took my time. Like a lot of time, to slowly whittle it down. If I got greedy on trying to land a bunch of shots, I'd die. If I only got a few shots in without dying, so be it, at least I didn't die. Watching videos of that battle brings back hazy memories of being extremely frustrated.
