I feel the same way about PvsZ..at least I still have Epic Quest (which is the only one I stand a chance of "mastering")

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

If anybody is having trouble with the various achievements (trophies) of Pinball FX3 in the base set, especially related to the Challenge modes, play Paranormal. One Ball Challenge, 5 Minute, Survival all go down ridiculously easy with that table. Just make liberal use of your bumpers (easy right flipper shot) and make sure your upgrades are focused on this attribute and you are golden.

It also puts you in the driver's seat for the Collectibles achievement too which is only 140 and after completing the three challenges I was already at 120. I did one ball challenge on the second try, and the rest on the first. Meanwhile, Sorcerer's Lair, all of my challenge scoring is in the 12 or 13/15 region (after many, many attempts). But Sorcerer's Lair might be easier when it comes to getting all of the wizard/upgrade stuff, i.e. the long run. Multi-ball on Paranormal is not as easy as SL.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

I have noticed some tables are harder than others to complete the challenges.

Try Rome. I can only get a few stars in each challenge because its a drain monster and difficult for me to score high on that board. But Excalibur or SL I can keep the ball in play much longer and make shots for higher scores.

I always enjoyed that table, for most of the last 2 weeks I was #4 on One Ball on the PS4 leaderboards for it, I've dropped to #5 now.

Ahhh, you are far better than me . I did manage to get all of the collectibles last night and for the first time, I actually got the Paranormal table achievement which I always had the worst trouble with. Needless to say I'm not anything special at pinball but every once in a while I get something I'm happy with. (And I do have more cheevos in FX3 than Pinata does...at least for the next ~48 hours anyway )

The thing with that table is its easy to score a lot with the bumper section, it's got an easy 3 step skill shot, hard to lose a ball on the right side, and it has a magna save. It's even crazier on the non-challenge games, since I think on that table you can get 4 or 5 free balls on each of your 3 balls.

The lack of music in the Universal tables is a real bummer. Fortunately, the PS4 has the Spotify app and there are soundtracks and playlists for all three of those titles. I played all three tables with the appropriate music in the background and let me tell you -- it's WAY better that way.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

So perhaps I'm an idiot. I thought you could still do the free upgrade thing from Pinball FX2 (360) to FX2 (One). I had a $5 credit from Microsoft and I figured I would get a couple of old tables I never messed with, Mars & Earth Defense Force. Unfortunately, after I purchased them and then went to my X1 console, I booted up FX2 and I could not import them at all (Unable to download).

Furthermore, booted up Pinball FX3 to see if I could do it that way and the import, manage game nor clicking on the table worked. It wanted me to buy another pack which had Earth Defense, Mars and Paranormal...all three of which I technically own but only have the last one to show for it. And pay full price of course.

So, would Zen Studios do anything besides laugh at me? I mean, the smart thing to do would be for them to give me a code for that pack and call it a day (or say sorry, you suck). But it just upsets me that I have them sitting on the 360 and I can't import them over when they are fully functioning tables so to speak.

Send Barbie a message on the Zen Studio forum. Couldn't hurt to ask.

From TrueAchievements

https://www.trueachievements.com/for...spx?tid=957281

This is the reply I got from Zen Studios on twitter

"Hello, FX2 will be slowly but surely be a library only title. So new purchases will not be available, but you can still play it anytime" - Zen Studios (@zen_studios) October 10, 2017

Their reasoning is why would you continue to play FX2 on the X1 when FX3 is available. As I understand, 360 FX2 tables should still get you the free upgrade to FX3. If you've tried importing them in-game and it didn't work, try from the store.

Thanks Gideon, well except achievements would be the reason to play FX2 but I digress. Anyway, that aside...the problem is I'm not getting 360 FX2 tables to work (Earth Defense/Mars). I've tried importing them in game and out of the store. Neither work. Basically, from what I can tell by delisting Pinball FX2 (Xbox One version), they broke the damn thing whether it was on purpose or accidental. I think I will try Twitter as well since we have 280 characters now, and that should be enough to get my point across. Appreciate it.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

The way Zen has handled this is terrible and as a result they've lost a customer. Pinball FX2 was removed from Steam without any notice. Can't even search for it in the store. I hadn't yet purchased the Bethesda table pack, and now I won't ever be able to complete the collection or try to get 100% achievements.

Another issue that has been affecting other users is that FX3 doesn't run as well on some systems (not totally unexpected, given that it's 4+ years newer) and those people are staying with FX2. But because FX2 is gone, they will never be able to complete their collections.

They also did a number on the DLC. With FX3, most of the tables are bundled, where a lot of them were single tables for FX2. So now if you want to buy certain tables you might be missing, you'll have to buy the whole bundle and pay extra.

Completely freaking agree on all counts. FX3 has had a rather poor launch. I like the challenges, I like the upgrades, that was good. But the importing of tables, performance (it takes a good three-four minutes to get to a table and then it has to load), and the absolutely sneaky shit with the packs, individual tables and FX2. Yeah, I'll play because I love pinball but I'm not buying any new packs until they fix some of this. Period.

Edit: Got a response back from one of the admins late yesterday on the Zen forums, answering him today requesting more information. It's a start folks, it's a start.

And the Pinball FX3 Sci-Fi pack is now on sale (which had 2 of the 3 tables I needed) $4.99. If I had only waited all of several days, this wouldn't even had been an issue. Now, I can't buy it simply on principle (and own everything else Pinball FX wise on sale). *Beep Beep Curse*

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Well the story does have a happy ending. After some back and forth with Zen's email support, I got two store codes this morning for FX3, one was for Mars and one was for Earth Defense. I am "full" once again . So if anybody else has import issues, [email protected] has your hookup.

It's not up yet on PSN. Grabbed it for XO

Is there a way to get a copy for the Switch without actually owning a Switch yet? Does Nintendo have an online eShop?

Hopefully XBox matches at least the ones above...that's about all I'm missing now except for some individual Marvel tables (which you really can't get anymore by themselves). The two freebies are pretty good, I'm not sure which one I like more, I'm leaning towards Son of Zeus, but only barely.

I would kill for a Marvel/Netflix Series pack with Daredevil, Jessica Jones & Luke Cage/Iron Fist. But it will prolly never happen because it's something I actually want, lol.

I dreamed of a Portal table years before it came true. If you dream it, you can be it!

I'm ready for some Disney-proper properties. A Pixar pack (Incredibles, Monsters, Nemo), a Princess pack (don't judge me, I'm not running for Senate!), an XD pack (Gravity Falls, Ducktales, etc)
