Thanks for the heads up. I think I got in before the price was changed.

Portal Pinball is Teleporting to a Zen Studios Pinball Platform Near You

Valve and Zen Studios have revealed the fruits of their recent collaboration, taking one of the most beloved game series of the past decade, Portal, and giving it the pinball treatment! Portal pinball will be available on Zen’s pinball platforms the week of May 25th, 2015.

Crafted in collaboration with Valve and Zen Studios, Aperture Laboratories is proud to reveal the “Aperture Science Heuristic Portal Pinball Device”, proving that persistent experimentation is not only the hallmark of good science for the benefit of mankind, but also incalculably fun!

Guide Chell and Wheatley through test chambers by navigating portals, using aerial faith plates, defeating turrets and facing other obstacles, and battling against GLaDOS as you attempt to escape the facility and reach the surface. Team up with ATLAS and P-Body for their Cooperative Testing Initiative Multiball and wreak havok on the Turret Factory by discovering Ratman’s hidden mini playfield.

See you on the leaderboards… there will be cake.

That's cool!

And Decker, thanks for the tips on the SW tables. Just ended up going with the pack with the Starfighters table. Very cool!

Zen is really ramping up their output lately, with 3 new tables released in the span of a month. Portal table looks awesome.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Decker and other pinball Vita players. How do you hold your Vita? Landscape (horizontal) or Portrait (vertical)? Some tables in Landscape mode are hard to see as the viewing angle seems off. The Starfighter table in Landscape at least pans to the action so it isn't too bad. On others it just seems wierd. But holding the Vita in Portrait doesn't feel right either.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

I always use horizontal. Mess around with the cameras a little, I find myself using 1w on most tables, but on a few I use 4. I've tried vertical but it's too uncomfortable and I think I had to reach for the stick when I wanted to nudge instead of always having my thumb on the stick.

Gotta be landscape. The other way everything is so tiny you can't really appreciate the detail. I usually change to Camera 3 (I think) for a wider view of the table.

Are you sure this is Gooter? Because it kind of feels like a conversation with Old Boy.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Mega-Glitch Alert (I think) : I bought the PS4 Pinball Arcade Season 4 Season Pass. It was not supposed to include the PS3 or PS Vita tables which are Cross-Buy with each other, but not with the PS4. Today with the update, it shows that I've "Purchased" the PS3/Vita Season 4 Bundle and I can now download the four released tables on those systems as well - the tables show as Free when I add them to my cart. This is NOT the case for the Season 3 tables I own (though I don't own them all so I don't show as having "Purchased" the Season Pass for Season 3. This could be a policy change from Far Sight, but is more likely a mistake, so MOVE!

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

I own the PS4 season 3 pass and it doesn't show Diner or Dracula as purchased on the PS3. As for season 4, there are 5 available, Phantom of the Opera, Party Zone, Earth Shaker, Starship Troopers, and Addams Family.

Yeah, I meant all five currently available tables for PS3 are showing as free for me, not four like I typed.
Do you own Season 4 PS4 pass? Are you getting those tables for PS3 and Vita as well? I really don't think we should be, but I am. And it doesn't apply to the Season 3 tables. I think it's a glitch they will fix soon, so I grabbed those five tables for the Vita while I could.

Hell yeah it is! The use of GLADoS and Wheatley are great! Really kind of bummed there isn't any Cave Johnson in it. I'd love to hear him yell "NOT MY TEMPO!" at me when I mis-time a shot.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

I have TPA for Xone. I see there's a season 1 pass i could purchase. But I can't seem to open the season 2 or 3 tab. Only season 1. Is there something i don't know, or is it just my system?

Also, do the season passes ever go on sale? It's $29.99 for season one. But rather get it with a discount.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

I don't know about consoles, but the Steam versions of Season 1 and 2 were 50% off during the winter sale last Christmas. I'm hoping season 3 will have a similar discount during the summer sale next month.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Season 1 has been on sale recently on PS4. Maybe Season 2 as well.
Note that there are about twice as many tables in S1 and S2 packs compared to S3 and S4, but they cost the same. They just decreased the number of tables per release from two to one.

Looks like the Steam version of the Portal table is 50% off if you own either Portal or Portal 2.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Not sure if there’s an updated thread for pinball gamertags. But feel free to add me for the Xbox One. Just mention pinball in a message.

Gamertag: Cyclone30

I am an average player (for now?) But would love to try and beat scores. I have about a dozen tables for FX2 pinball, and will be getting more down the line. Same goes for TPA.
