Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Looks like some other new tables coming to Pinball FX 2, along with the Family Guy table:

(From @_ThePantsParty)

I could have sworn that someone (pinata?) was asking for an Archer table here, years ago. Did a half-assed search but couldn't find anything.

Sweet! I think it was actually announced a while back but nothing ever after that.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Yeah, I think those three tables are being placed with the Family Guy table. It's showing up as achievements on TrueAchievements as an Unknown pack.

Still having issues with my Pinball FX2 XB1 achievements, I got the three from earlier, but I got two last night and they are on my notifications but the title still does not appear in my achievement list. Eventually, I think TrueAchievements will scan the notifications and I'll get credited for it, but its frustrating that it seems to be on a time delay.

So the Unknown Pack on TA. There's a lot of talk about Windows 10. Do you think that they're going to add Win10 to 360/X1 cross-buy? That would be amazing if I could drop the Steam collection!

I wish Farsight weren't a bunch of dicks and also had Cross-platform buying. Still never bothered rebuying anything on Steam, and they are terrible with their PC support anyway.

I'm hoping that the new X-files tv show revival becomes a hit. I would love to see an X-Files table. I would get that in a heartbeat.

Not a chance. Look alike images result in all sorts of licensing headaches (except in Star Wars, where I think they've given away their likenesses decades ago). Best you're going to get is Paranormal, which is a pretty good table.

I just hooked up my new X1 today and went thru Pinball Arcade and Pinball FX first. I think you are crazy saying $15 bucks is pricey. I missed the dang sale and now they are back to $30 and $40 a season and I am strongly considering buying them at full price. Amazing amount of tables since I had last checked them and sooooo much cheaper than even considering buying one real table.

Since I missed the sale, do the seasons for Pinball Arcade happen very often? I am so pissed I missed it as I would have bought all the pro seasons available.

Also, did all the pinball tables for FX 360 transfer to the X1 or are there some missing?

No not often. Twice so far for the PS4 and just that once on the XO.

Most, but not all. The updated versions of the four original Pinball FX tables, Nightmare Mansion, the Rocky & Bullwinkle table and most disappointingly, the Ms Splosion Man tables did not transfer to the XO.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Dang. I loved that Rocky & Bullwinkle table. I also loved the Agents table in the original FX. Good riddance to Xtreme. Worse table they ever did.

I hate to hear that about the sale. I may bid my time and see if anything pops up for Black Friday for Pinball Arcade.

I just glanced over Pinball Arcade and the tables and it still appears they haven't put any work into friends leaderboards, correct? That is the one thing that Pinball FX crushes them with.

And anyone who plays pinball and does not have me on their friends list, send me a friend request if you want another person on your pinball fx leaderboards. I plan to get back into this game soon since I got the X1.

I probably am crazy, but also a cheap bastard . I do agree that its worth it and I probably should have jumped on board, but I'm replaying all of my old tables on Pinball FX2 and having a good time (even if my achievements are still broken, but at least Zen is working on a fix as I'm not the only one). I just have so much else to play right now on both XB1 and 360 that it would have been $30 spent for a rainy day. I even decided against my Rock Band 4 digital pre-order.

Seriously. If you think $15 for 10-15 tables is expensive, don't even look at how much a REAL pin costs!

Not really digging such a cartoonish, cel-shaded look to the table.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

Considering the nature of the show, I'm good with the cell shading. It looks like it fits in just fine. Eager to see the rest of the toon tables getting released.

Also, for those on Xbox One, Pinball FX2 achievements did get fixed it looks like. My game is again showing in my Achievements app, and TrueAchievements is back to updating correctly.

Re: The Ultimate Battle Free Pinball Thread

As an aesthetic, I'm okay with it. But for actually playing pinball, it looks really weird to me.

Much like Alexander Hamilton, I'm about to say goodbye to a $10 bill.

Meh, getting sick of the ramp-fest most of the Zen tables are. I'd rather have Stern's Family Guy instead of that.

Only if you want to contribute to yet another Kickstarter campaign.

My friend has that table. It's pretty fun (though I'm no fan of the show)

I guess you didn't see Stern/Farsight's announcement that they are going to be releasing a new game that has only Stern pin's. I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing plenty of licensed games from them, since that's all they make at this point. Granted it'll be easier to work in agreements to make virtual versions of pins from this point on, but I'm sure they want to do at least some of their back catalog.
