Re: Borderlands
I went in knowing there wasn't much of an ending and it didn't really bother me. There isn't much of a story anyway.

Re: Borderlands
I have a lvl 61 berserker, playing the Knoxx DLC on my second playthrough and if a weapon is not worth at least 1.5 to 2 million credits I don't even bother picking it up
I've got some ridiculously powerful weapons so far |
Re: Borderlands
As soon as my $10 credit for ordering that $11 DS game shows up, I'll be ordering this bundle on Amazon.

Re: Borderlands
I've got all four maxed and yes the "Brick" character is pretty cool with all those powerful Rocketlaunchers. I must have around 20 with all above level 55 I play with. However don't underestimate his "shotgun" mods... they're pretty lethal.
I still say Lilith, using either a maxed Hellfire SMG or my favorite Tsunami SMG, along with her mod of 61% SMG damage, maxed bullet damage and fire rate is pretty much unstopable |

Re: Borderlands
DLC?...if i finished playthrough 1, do i want to play the 2 DLCs (zombie and Knoxx, which i haven't started at all) on 1 or pt 2?
|
Re: Borderlands
Play the DLC for a fresher experience unless you really want to go through the feeling of "that's it???" again.
PT1 vs PT2 only matters if you're maxed out anyway. Zombie will give you some more levels and Knoxx was "designed to take players from level 37 to 50". Then you still have 11 levels or so for PT2 and you don't necessarily have to play the main story anyway. |

Do I want to play Zombie on 1 still? And I won't be effective at all in Knoxx if I am not Level 37? i do also want to go through playthrough 2 to see what better stuff i can get and thought that was the way to do it... |
Re: Borderlands
It's up to you. Why not just try PT1 and if it's too easy move to PT2 or vice versa.

Re: Borderlands
Definitely.
|
Re: Borderlands
gotcha. thanks.
again with Knoxx...i would need to be Level 37 to stand any kind of chance? |
Re: Borderlands
I can't answer that. I was 50 and we started on PT2 when it came out. It was a struggle in the very beginning, but it normalized soon. They do a lot more with elemental resistances in it, so be prepared for that.
|
Re: Borderlands
so basically if you're 50 and do Knoxx, the enemies will be 50. if you are 37, the enemies will be 37.
loving the Zombie DLC. approx. how long is it and is there a big boss at the end? and with playthrough 2...the main mission and side missions are exactly the same, just the enemy levels are increased substantially from playthrough 1? |
Re: Borderlands
Missions are the same. They progressed quicker, since I knew where to go, and what to do.

Re: Borderlands
Yes there is a boss. And it's not that long (except for a couple of very annoying side missions). The thing that takes the most time is that you have to run everywhere, so if you are a long ways from the start, I suggest trying to beat as much in the possible in the area before ending a session.

Re: Borderlands
Also make sure you start the "Brains(s(sssss(sssssss)))" missions as soon as possible by:

**edit*** it is because of all the Zombie brains to pick-up, isn't it? i've been picking up a crapload, but i guess it won't count because i didn't recieve that mission yet, huh? |
Re: Borderlands
Yep. Brains don't count until you activate the mission. You have to find T.K. Baha. This should help.
|
Re: Borderlands
A good pistol with a zoom, high damage, good fire rate and clip size is great for brains. A good shotgun with a high accuracy is also good.
|
Re: Borderlands
Yep. I need to go finish that. Didn't find his shack until I was done, I think I'm up to the 250 mission now.
