I'll have to watch this video. Don't mind exploiting a glitch if that is what it takes for the achievement. I'm at level 56 now so I'm getting there.

Re: Borderlands

So my friend from England spent the day at my house, and he says "this is all I see you playing", let's check it out. We ended up playing for 5-6 hours!

Chew/Donuts, we on for tonight?

Since I'm still a level or two up, I'll host...to maximize XP.

Re: Borderlands

Good times w/ Chew and Donuts last night. It was cool checking out the new cars and wandering around...even when we were completely lost. The regularity of us dying as a result of driving makes me want to walk...but then the world is ginormous.

Also, Chew is somehow infatuated with taking on those missile launching cars all by his lonesome...like a dog is infatuated with a squirrel...or a moth to a flame. Hey, where'd Chew go? Oh crap, he's dead!

Glad to be done w/ Braaaaaaaaaaains!!!!

Re: Borderlands

This month's Official Playstation magazine with the GoWIII cover has a "Top Secret" New Haven location. The grainy picture makes it difficult to figure out the exact location, but it certainly sounds like something worth checking out.

On a related note: I always get my Xbox magazine the same day, but still haven't received this month's. So I don't know if the tip is listed there as well.

Re: Borderlands

It's probably just the "developer's chest" in a shed in the north alley of New Haven.

Interesting. I wonder if they can 'unlock' certain doors(and stash stuff in 'em) in the core game when a DLC pack is purchased.

Maybe. It did say something about a ton of mutants and an elevator though....is that in the shed?

Yes, there is an elevator. The mutants were around level 50 when I checked it out. Unfortunately the "New Heaven Basement" is only active during the "Another piece of the Puzzle" mission. Once you complete that mission, you can't go back in.

That's what I was wondering as well. The article didn't tell you that important detail (it only stated you needed that quest).

Re: Borderlands

Bummer. I'd like to check that out!

I'll have to remember that for my new Siren/Hunter I'm working on as a pair with the "Corvin Method" (single player splitscreen for extra XP, so I can farm as a siren).

I'll eventually tire of this though, and hopefully Chew will want to start a new campaign when we finish Knoxx...maybe as a pair of Hunters or as a Hunter and a Siren. I'd miss ammo regeneration, but I have a few SMGs with ammo regeneration anyway.

Re: Borderlands

I'm at level 60 now and halfway to 61. Finished the second playthrough of Knoxx, but I'm not actually finishing that last mission. I'm using the secret to fall down and collect all the chests without setting off the timer. Video is on youtube for anyone interested. We have looted the armory twice now and grabbed a few decent rare guns.

I have looked at the video of the glitch spot fighting Crawermax, but haven't been able to pull this off with the Hunter at level 60. The worms kill me by the time I reach the spot and I can't seem to damage them to get a second wind.

Re: Borderlands

We stumbled on that Crawermax glitch last night. Well, I assume we stumbled on it. I didn't know about it and it sure was found pretty fast. Stuck a level 54 Siren in that crevice and level 61 Siren, Hunter, and Soldier took him down in about an hour. level 54 Siren was level 58 when we left.

You spend most of your time waiting on that god damned elevator.
