Re: Free 1 year membership to the eca
is this something you can cancel online? If so, I'm in...but if I have to call someone to cancel, I'll pass.

Re: Free 1 year membership to the eca
I'm missing something here... Where do you actually put the code and sign up for the benefits? I created an account, but every time I try to go to http://www.theeca.com/member_home I get an "Access Denied / Please login to see this content" page, but I can see myself signed in on the left.

Right to Cancel; Refund of ECA Service Fee. Members have the right to terminate this Agreement and membership in the ECA Service at any time. A Member may cancel this Agreement and membership in the ECA Service by calling 1-203-761-6180. If a Member cancels before the end of a Membership Term for which Member has paid the Service Fee, the Member cannot receive a refund of such Service Fee, prorated for the remaining unused portion of the Membership Term. Due to the nature of the services provided by ECA (many of which are accessible immediately upon acceptance) it is understood that refunds cannot be issued. Member will remain liable for any other fees or charges to be paid pursuant to this Agreement or the ECA Service.

Doesn't look like any of the discounts are any good, aside from the (expiring?) Amazon 10%.
Hopefully someone remembers to bump this thread in a year to remind us all to cancel.

You can cancel online.. If you go to your profile and then down to recurring fees it has a cancel button for next year. I wouldn't cancel now though or it may cancel your whole sub..

yep "forced"
Amazon has forced me to feed my gaming addiction. A rep from amazon came to my house today and made me preorder 20 games by gun point. They are getting agressive

It said I was to receive an e-mail with further instructions. I still haven't received the e-mail. I know I'm still not a member since it didn't even ask for my CC info. And where exactly do you put the code?

You should receive 3 emails I think. A welcome email. An activation email, and a newsletter email. The registration one is the one you are looking for. Check your bulk/junk folder on your email server. When you put in your cc after that and get to the confirmation there is a place for the code in there.

EDIT: I checked my trash folder but found no e-mail from the ECA.

I clicked on the link and got this in my email:
Subject: Your ECA Today newsletter subscription has been confirmed,
I checked my spam/junk mail and searched. Nothing there.

Re: Free 1 year membership to the eca
I'm starting to hear that you might be able to link your eca account with amazon by calling amazon. I am trying to get more details. I will let everyone know when I know more.
Ok, didn't find out about that yet, but new codes tomorrow
