<--- Glares at Amazon.

Re: God of War I/II remake for PS3
I just got my copy from newegg and no god of war 3 demo code was in it. Now I am reading that it was for a very limited time and my copy seems to be the newer ones with no code.
PISSED OFF. Now I am preordering god of war 3 on amazon to get the code and see if I can cancel the order after. =( |
Re: God of War I/II remake for PS3
Finished GoW 2... amazing game. It improved almost everything from the first game. (Thankfully no R2 smashing this time around; even with realtriggers, it was a pain in the ass) I can't wait for God of War 3 now. Kratos has become one of my favorite characters of all time.
Hopefully I can find Chains of Olympus cheap. =P |

The code is on a scratch off paper inside the case. Sorry to tell you that.
yup no scratch off in mine. I guess newegg isnt in on this demo code? http://www.godofwar.com/PreOrder/index.htm#ultimate |
Re: God of War I/II remake for PS3
Finally got mine in the mail today and played a couple hours.
I'm happy to report no issues whatsoever on my 60GB PS3. The graphics show their age a bit on a 50 inch plasma, but no problems to report. I am missing the R2 button from the PS2 though. All in all, a no-brainer of a purchase. |
Re: God of War I/II remake for PS3
Funny, I still have my unscratched demo code downstairs since I got one from my GoW 3 preorder. I am trying to figure out what to do with it or some creative way to give it away to someone.

He said he was preordering the Gow3 CE so he may already have one. I'm not giving it to him if he already has one.

I would be def grateful if you were able to pass me the code somehow. On another note my 360 red ringed for the 3rd time in 2 years and I sent it back on last wednesday with a note inside directed to the manager of the tech that will be repairing my xbox. |

I am actually going to cancel my preorder as I was reading that they may not let me cancel once I get the demo code. It takes 10 days for them to email me the code supposedly and I preordered GOW 3 last night.

Re: God of War I/II remake for PS3
I must say, I'd forgotten how annoying the "keep hitting O" mechanic is. I have a surgically repaired right thumb and I just can't hit it fast enough for their liking. This is why I bought a controller with Turbo the first time through. Don't know what to do now. Just started, but I can't kill the Hydra if I can't tap fast enough. Otherwise, the game looks GREAT for a PS2 game.
Any suggestions on how to tap fast enough? I tried using my index finger of the other hand (my dominant one), but that didn't work either. |

Re: God of War I/II remake for PS3
Agree that it's not the best mechanic...but the good news is that when you're doing it, you're never doing anything else. So I recommend just using your index finger.
I use mine and just make my hand shake rather than trying to "push" the button...if that makes sense. |

Actually, it wasn't a scratch-off, it was a sticker on top of the code that was so difficult to remove that I ended up ripping up the insert trying to remove it, making it unreadable, so I just threw it out. Why must they make such things so difficult?
