Not including Chains of Olympus makes this collection uselss to me. I cant imagine these games looking any better and trophies/achievements are a cheap gimmick. I already beat the first 2 on the HARDEST difficulties (GoWII was the WORST) and I do not want to have to do that again.

I can't say I'm too impressed with that video. It doesn't look like too much of a visual upgrade. But I think it's more for people who don't have a bc PS3. I think for now I'm OK with sticking with my PS2 versions.

What I've read is they had to downgrade the textures for PS2 and these are the original textures.

I don't have nor ever played GOW II so this is a no brainer since I'm getting it for just over 30 bucks. I don't have GOW I either so I will not have two copies of the same game around.

I hate to admit it but I bought a WWE third-party PS2 controller just because it had a Turbo button since I couldn't advance in GoW without it. :blush:

did you look at the amazon video game trade in program? I've used it numerous times, it's quite painless, and the prices they were offering were always comparable

I'm guessing steebo777 doesn't mean he wants to trade in USED games at TRU for this one, but rather that he has "placeholder" new games from the B2G1 free sale that he would like to exchange one for this....

My copy arrives from Amazon today and I just read this over at Joystiq:

Some folks over on the official PlayStation Forums allege to be having trouble playing God of War Collection. Several users are complaining that the game has been locking up on them, specifically after God of War's first cutscene and during the first mission. Most of the people who claim to be running into this freezing issue are running the game on 60GB launch PS3s, though a few PS3 Slim owners have also jumped into the threads to report the game is locking up on them, too.

Additionally, commenters on PlayStation.Blog have reported the same problem and specifically implicate 60GB PS3s. While we didn't experience such issues playing the final game code on a debug PS3 unit, we've contacted Sony for comment on this report and will update as necessary.

Motherfucker. The first PS3 game I'm really looking forward to actually playing has a tendency to freeze up on my 60GB launch system. Ironically it's a remake of a PS2 game that I could easily play on my PS2-BC device :rolleyes:

Same boat as everyone else(60GB). First game I was looking forward to playing. Fortunately I haven't bought it yet. I can sit out and see if Sony fixes it.

I have a 60GB PS3, but it's one from this year. Of course when I'll get around to actually playing the game is a whole other issue.
