Guess I'll be waiting too

I have a 60GB and haven't tried it yet - I'll have to pop it in tonight. Mine if from October 2007 - probably one of the last 60GB's sold. Technically it's not a 60GB anymore anyway - I recently put a 250 in it.

They stopped making 60 GB models in 2007. What dusty warehouse did you find a new 60 GB in?

Oh yeah. I love that I don't even know what I have. What is the lowest option now? 80GB? Whatever it is. I got that one.

This game is beautiful. The only complain I have is that you are playing this beautiful 1080p game then you hit a cutscene. It's blocky, blurry and standard def Kind of wish they had upgraded those also. I would have paid 10 bucks more for it had those been updated too.

Amazon is selling new Dreamcasts so anything is possible.

Doubt it could be any worse than Fallout 3 though. That game is a train wreck on PS3, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

I've got a 60 gig and two hours in to GOW, I've had no issues so far. So far so good (crossing fingers).

Got into and past the 1st boss (Hydra) and no issues with my 60GB.

Maybe all of this smoke is coming from an X-Box owner that would love to be playing God of War. You have to wonder who is starting those stupid PSN messages that get forward from user to user talking about Beta keys and Sony charging for their network.

Glad I didn't get this yet...as I have a 60GB (well, 320GB now).

I preordered, and it's already shipped.

I'll put it in my 60GB when I get it in the mail and report back after the first level or two, which is apparently where it happens.

That's upsetting. Wonder what would be causing it -- and why on earth it'd be console-specific.

I seriously doubt that the creaters of those PSN messages have deduced an online fee from that as those messages came out well before this slide show looks to have become available. Besides, if a subscription would improve the servers and online community then I would be for it. X-Box does have a better online community but people pay for it.

Mine is having issues. It freezes at the first cutscene. I hope there will be a patch soon.

Mine didn't freeze at all. I beat the Hydra, had sex (with two women) and then saved it. I got a few trophies in the process but no freezing. My 60 is from 2007 for those that are wondering.

Sony has planned subscription based GAMES for at least a year now. They want a console MMO to get some of that Blizzard money. This isn't about the PSN in general, or at least I doubt it is.

Wow... I'm surprised by how good these two games look. I thought it was going to be a shoddy port-job but they went the extra mile... Just beat the first one and I'm impressed by the AQ and PQ. I heard the GoW2 looks even better. I'll save it for the weekend.

How long did it take to play through?

i'm using a 60GB ps3 bought about 2 yrs ago, i've been playing the first game and no issues w/ freezing at all...just past the Challenge of Poseidon now

It took about 9-10 hours... did I mention it was my first playthrough? Part of me feels stupid for waiting this long to play these games but part of me is glad I waited for the HD/60fps/no screen-tearing version.
