That is sad. I'm loving the game. Great to play with the family and has all the humor and goofy style of the other Lego games. No lag or issues on the PS3 so far.

I haven't experienced any outright freezes yet, but the load times feel interminable and even after changing the calibration settings to the one listed in the manual, the timing still feels loose to me.

I have not had any freezing problems on the 360. I have it copied to the hard drive if that matters.

No reason to give up hope yet on TCV. I mean, Spongebob came as a surprise last week and that seems to be targeted to a comparable audience.

To be fair, I do feel that Them Crooked Vultures is, legitimately, equal to the sum of its parts.
Chew on that statement.

I would like to see "Going Down To Liverpool", "Hero Takes A Fall", and "If She Knew What She Wants" as well from The Bangles, but "Egyptian" is an OK start I suppose. My wife will like it.

Looks like more "surprise" DLC is coming for next week (for 360. Wii has to wait a week, and PS3 has to wait 2 weeks)

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread
For anyone who is a cheapskate like me, and just wants to get the Lego Rock Band tracks but doesn't care about keeping the game itself:
According to the leaked ad beginning tomorrow, Toys R Us is having a "save $20 when you buy any two games $39.99 or more" sale....if you were already planning to buy one game (like I am, with New Super Mario Wii), then you can pick up LRB for only $30.....export the songs, and take it back to trade in at TRU where the current trade in value for both the 360 and PS3 versions of the game is $22.75.....
Obviously if you never shop at TRU, then the store credit does you no good, but they have had multiple good sales and free GC offers on new releases, so if you are a gamer, chances are you'll be able to use it at some point...

I was getting a strange game crash in LEGORB playing a 2 song surprise setlist, and I get through the first song no problem, then while the other was loading, the game popped up some spanish text and forced me back to the venue selection screen. Happened 3 times in a row.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread
pretty sure that means the DLC it's trying to play is not linked to that profile. I was trying to load up a song with my gf's account to 100% drums and we could not play unless we did band mode and I also played. It popped up crazy spanish talk

I'm the only profile on the box that buys songs, and i was playing solo....but now that you mention it, I think i couldn't get onto Live at that time so I was playing offline...fucking DRM bullshit.

Re: Rock Band: The Official Thread
I did finally have a freeze on LegoRB during a loading screen. Only happened once as we played through and beat the game. Really enjoyed the game, but my daughter probably played those 6 Sponge Bob songs 20-30 times as we went through the game so there are downsides to having kids in your band. She likes Sponge Bob and Ramones songs. Weird kid.
