Out of curiosity, do you sometimes walk by vending machines and shout out "$1.50? That's a great price for a 20 oz bottle of Diet Coke!" |

I'm not allowed outside due to the incident.

I don't get posts like this. How big were you expecting it to be? The first one was only 80MB. Do you really think this game will be 5 times better? Sure, some growth is to be expected, but this just seems like a ploy by Microsoft to fill up the proprietary hard drives faster. NO SALE!

I think it went over your head, Kedrix. It's ok, you'd have to scroll back like 5-10 posts to see it.

I really don't think Game developers are trying to fill up your hard drive on purpose. Call me crazy, and I thought Starman was making a joke about the filesize, 411mb....411 is the number for information. It's an easy joke...get it? *sigh*. Puzzle Quest 2 should be awesome, not sure about a first week purchase but it will probably be part of my library at some point.
Spoiler:

Re: XBLA Thread Part 400 - Pinata's got a brown nose
Thanks for the laughs this morning! :)
Anyway, I just tried Ancients of Ooga for a few minutes. It's made by the same folks who made Cloning Clyde and that's pretty obvious when trying this game out. It plays in a very similar way to solve puzzles. It also has the same quirky style and humor. It certainly looks better as well. I'm just not sure it's enough to make me want to buy it right away, but maybe when it goes on sale I'll pick it up. OXM reviewed it this month and gave it a 7.0, saying basically that it gets old after a little while. I could see that. Still the demo is worth checking out. Anyone else try it yet? |
Re: XBLA Thread Part 400 - Pinata's got a brown nose
Enough about Puzzle Quest 2's file size. Let's focus on what matters: "Puzzle Quest 2" - that's a great title! It's like...Puzzle Quest, but with a 2 on the end! Kudos to the devs on that stroke of genius!

Bought Chime last night. I have no idea what's going on in that game, and yet I love it. I ended up playing for hours.

So I still play Game Room. Today one of my favorite childhood Intellivision games, Star Strike, was released. I instantly bought it and was taken back again. Ah good times.
As you know, Game Room has a meta-game of "leveling up" and going for medals for attaining a certain score, surviving a certain amount of time, and just playing the game a bunch. Well, in order to get the Gold Medal for survival in Star Strike, you have to stay alive for 4 minutes. This is actually impossible given the nature of the game and 3:40 is the most I could muster. Kudos, Krome, for failing on yet another level! |

Re: XBLA Thread Part 400 - Pinata's got a brown nose
It's not a huge deal in the grand scheme, but it just sucks those morons don't have the skills to test their own shit and they obviously just make wild assumptions based on incompetence.

Juno First is interesting and I'd never heard of it before. I may end up buying it.
Warlords (Arcade) is ruined by lack of adequate controls - AGAIN. D-pad is your only hope of playing it. The other two are Atari games and, therefore, utter shite. I say that winded after punching myself in the gut. |
