XBLM Deal of the week:
There's one free table as DLC, Buccaneer Table.

Also there's a new Earth Defense Table as DLC. Funny thing is this one table is 66% of the size of the original game. 240http://marketplace.xbox.com/xweb/lib...ints_12_12.png

This is a nice Pinball game. Easily worth 400 pts -- seriously a great deal. Only one of the three included tables is great (the Bond-inspired one), one is okay (racing car table) and one is awful (Xtreme). The free pirate table is probably better than any of the others and it wasn't really worth purchasing at 800 points until they included that one (with is heavily inspired by POTC with sound-alike music). The game itself is pretty nice with sharp graphics, reasonably accurate physics and pretty good gameplay (though not as good as Zen's game for the PS3). All the tables for the two games are different, so owners of both games won't have any overlap (except the purchasable SFIIHD table available for both games).
There are two other DLC tables available for FX Pinball. The Haunted House table is pretty bad, actually -- very tilted and very little content in the upper shelf making most games very quick and uninteresting (though the Tim Burton-esqe music is nice). On the other hand, the Rocky & Bullwinkle table is a pure joy. It's a must-buy.
Will have to check out the Defense Grid table now.

Cool I can't wait to try out the new table. I have always supported this game and can't wait for more DLC.

Found these on the xbox forums. I love the new table so far, I think it's on par with some of the psn tables.

Reminds of that one shooter on the PS3 that isn't Stardust HD.

It also reminds me of SubSpace. Now there's a game that needs a 3D port to the 360 with full blown live support (large multiplayer 2d space shooter).

Everyday Shooter? or Soldner-X?

It does look pretty cool though.

Looked it up... Blast Factor. Though that looks more simplistic.

I support everything in this post. The Buccaneer table is pretty good. The Extreme table is a absolutely total piece of crap. The spy one i actually liked. The racing one is just slightly alright. Haunted House was disappointing for the reasons mentioned above. Rocky and Bullwinkle is great.

I haven't bought the SFII table yet.

400 points for the game is indeed a steal.

I tried the trial of Pinball and bought it about five minutes later.

I definitely agree that Extreme is garbage, it reminds me of the Phantom Menace Video Pinball game in real life, bland and boring.

I snagged the SFII table since I love SF and it's probably my second favorite after a few initial playthroughs. I'm on the fence over R&B and may end up getting Defense Grid instead.

I can't complain though, since for 600pts I've got 4 enjoyable tables and one turd; a great deal considering I was eyeing the $40 Williams Hall of Fame collection last night.

As I mentioned in another thread, it's only $29.99 (or $27 after ECA discount) through Amazon. I'll have it on Wed and will post details.

And just so everyone knows, the new table is NOT Defense Grid, but rather an original table called Earth Defense. I'll probably get that soon, but want to see if it hits PSN on Thurs since I like their Zen Pinball game better.

Don't already have enough to check out this week? Well Microsoft have thrown even more into your lap - 3D Ultra Minigolf, Brain Challenge, and Street Fighter II Hyper Fighting are getting their prices permanently cut to 400MSP starting Wednesday.
