I'm not even going to bother with the demo of C&C. I mean, I loved the series on the PC, but I can't make the leap to the console for it. I know I won't be buying it, so I won't waste the time d/ling it.

I would imagine the online will only be hot the first couple of days or weeks on this, if at all.

Then yes, Defense Grid kicks the pants out of the only other tower defense game on the 360. If you only want one, though, be aware that both a South Park one (that could be cool though nobody knows for sure) and the fairly awesome PC tower defense game Plants vs Zombies are coming to XBLA very soon.

Just make sure you enter the codes on the xbox dashboard and not xbox.com which is hosed. I just had my 360 on and on the code redemption screen with my keyboard plugged in. Got the tweet and ran in there, and typed in the 2nd to last code on the tweet.

Buyers remorse. I bought Bubble Bobble after playing the demo and it appears to be the same exact game I played 20 years ago. It's still fun but $10, IMO is a bit much.

There is an interview on Gamespot about Spolsion Man and how they basically slapped the game together over a 6 month period in time for the Summer Live promo and cut a bunch of corners (inadequate testing, repetitive textures and level design, lack of Rube Goldberg death traps for the scientists, cut the levels from 75 to 50, didn't implement network support until the very end, etc; )

Reading it made me think "Wow, I almost feel like I shouldn't have bought this." then I remembered, I loved the hell out of that damn game :lol:. Can only imagine what they'd churn out with a full development cycle. And there is a patch on the way for the network play.

Facebook is the way to go. People over there are a lot slower. Those twitter ones disappear instantly, I don't know how they do them so fast. Facebook however is where I scored.

I understand that part. I must just have slow reflexes. I had the redeem code screen up, text pad on my controller and when they posted I entered away. But it was too late. Oh well, great promotion, and I glad I got in on the facebook codes.

Well, that sucks. I don't know, I just picked one of the middle ones (thinking most would go after the first or last) and typed as fast as I could.

Do you have a USB keyboard? I would imagine you could type faster on that than the chatpad, but I really don't know.

:-) I actually went for the first one thinking everyone would think everyone was going for the first one so would actually go for a middle one. I was either slow or wrong.

But like I said, facebook behemoth posted 10 codes at 2:59. At 3:40 some of those codes were still available.

That might be cool. Then again, it might be just another TMNT Reshelled. We'll see soon enough. The Warriors game made by Rockstar was, IMO, one of the most underrated action games of the last generation. It was pretty awesome and a lot of fun.

That Zombie game sounds fun. I might actually start buying XBLA games here in the next few weeks.

While not an XBLA game, I thought I'd mention it here: the <strike>Community</strike> Indie game Biology Battle that was once priced at the obscene level of 800 points has now been dropped all the way to 240. For $3 that's a good value. It's a really quality twin stick shooter in the style of Geometry Wars (perhaps the title gave you a clue there) but with the text-based humor of Everyday Shooter. It's certainly far more polished than most <strike>Community</strike> Indie games. Check out the demo:

Can't wait to test out Zombie Apocalypse. Though, I'm a little hesitant now that I have the Indie game. Still, online coop and achievements will be nice.
