Here's a fun bit of trivia. Deadliest Warrior is developed by Pipeworks, who also created the Xbox 360 boot ROM.

It's "Game Room" all over again!
I'm sure it's just a launch glitch and they'll have it up soon.

I was able to add it to my queue just now.

I'm definitely going to buy it. I played it briefly on PSN last night and thought it was great. It's a shame it doesn't have true multi-player though.

From the Game Room Facebook page:

Our July 14 Game Room update includes a lot of new features and fixes to make your gameplay easier and more fun.

Top of the heap is the new in-game Leaderboard. As you play, watch the left and right sides of the screen. On the left you’ll see your High Score and current Rank, and on the right you’ll see where you stand in the overall Leaderboard. Watch your avatar as you break into the top rankings—you’re on fire! Plus, anytime you’re on your game, your friends’ avatars will start gathering around to watch!

It’s now easier to find games. We have a new, complete store that shows all the Game Room games available, even if you haven’t downloaded all the Game Packs. We’ve also made it clearer which Game Pack each game belongs to, so it’s easier to get the game you want.

You’ll see a bunch of other new features, ways to access Game Room, and helpful fixes, including UI improvements to Intellivision and Atari console games. Let us know what you think! Game on!
All welcome additions and I certainly hope part of the UI tweaks they mention are for Atari paddle controls and allowing the Intellivision games to support quicker/simultaneous button presses. Too much lag in some of the quicker games.

Deadliest Warrior is a big bunch of blah....

Damn, I'm home today and I wanted to play some Deathspank. So far this plan has gone to hell, lol...

Thank goodness, I only have to keep the packs that I actually have a game from and I'll be able to browse all games. It's so bloody frustrating to keep up with the various packs, and this will make it a little easier.

Very cool, however I wish they would reset the demos so I can try some of them out again. That's actually one of the reasons I didn't buy a couple of the games.

I would pay big money for a paddle controller or trackball for the 360. Most of the games I want to buy either used a spinner knob or a trackball and are completely unplayable without them.

Oh, maybe to Yie Ar Kung Fu (Shao-Lin's Road is way superior though).

Tower of Doom, I had to look up, but it looks pretty cool.

Quadrun is like, a $500+ 2600 game, should be cool to grab for $3.

Not sure on the rest.

Wow, Gyruss. That brings back some Atari400 memories. I haven't messed with Game Room yet, but I might have to check that out.

Arcade Gyruss (a shitty Backbone version) is on XBLA. already.

The other 10 in that list will be spread out over the next two weeks.

Does the update improve emulation at all?

That's a big question. Can you be more precise?

I've only just started testing, but I don't see much difference in how the Intellivision games handle. You Atari boys can sit on your joysticks.

Ahhh, but I never picked that one up. Honestly, if it is decent; Gyruss might break my drought of Game Room related downloads. There might be one or two more in that list as well that might sway me. Just maybe, things are slightly improving. Maybe.

Edit: Wait...question, what game is Tower of Doom, are we talking AD&D here? If so, I will buy this one, no questions asked. Good lord, that game was awesome.

Framerate has been pretty poor in everything that I've tried. I've played mostly 2600 games. The 2600 is a notoriously hard system to emulate, but I still would have expected better.

Yeah, I'd totally get Time Pilot and Gyruss if I hadn't on XBLA already. Maybe still will. Fuuu, probably still will.

Hmm? The framerate on Pitfall was good and I've put over two hours into it.

But I honestly have little to compare it to, I never had a 2600 and barely played the ones I had access to.

I have fond memories of Decathlon but I doubt I'd remotely enjoy it now.

1GB for DeathSpank? Great googly moogly!
