I found some with drum icons on top. 2 for 2 on free songs ... Guess I'll pick up the Pearl Jam tracks. Wish there was an easier way to have it show you which songs on the list you currently own.

Back on RB talk, I've been going through World Tour a lot more lately finishing off cities and still have a ton to do. Anyway, I have one gig left in Istanbul that I can only play on Hard/Expert. The 5 song Setlist? Painkiller, Panic Attack, etc... & Visions. Motherfucking Visions. I guess I'm going to have an unfinished city. :(

Is there a way around that happening? Or are certain gigs limited to certain difficulties?

Also, Shagrath, how about a top players(stars/fans) update since the challenges are on hold?

I had to finish that particular set on Medium. :(

I usually play on Hard but I can't get past the first minute of Visions without failing. So I have a large obnoxious M next to that city just because of one fucking song in fucking concert in one fucking set. Fuck you Visions.

Can you tell it irritates me?

I think they're just locked to that difficulty. I have an 18-song set in NYC in RB1 that requires Hard or Expert. That will probably have to wait until I can get another guitarist to help me out.

Can you switch instruments during the gigs? Switch to vocals on Visions, its all talky parts so saying anything will let you 5 star it.

No, but maybe Voxtar would help since the vocal OD phrases would be guaranteed and you could activate it to help through the guitar part.

Of course, this assumes you can survive long enough to even activate it

That's what I'm saying though Easy and Medium are greyed out for me. I was wondering if I had maxed out my easy/medium* 'allotment' on other gigs forcing me into Hard on this one.

*Wife will only attempt easy/med vocals. I don't care about having the E or M next to the city though. I just want to get through them all. Visions is in a few other sets so I already have a couple of 'Ms' already.

Now that E3 is done and out of the way, the next big things that are ramping up are Comic-Con and PAX.

Am I crazy for hoping for another PAX pack? It's the weekend before Beatles drops, so I'm looking at 9/1 or 9/8 for this.

I was able to find 1 litres at my local 7-11.

The codes are still worth 1 point each.

Thanks for taking one for the team, fishdude! I really appreciate it and that sucks they're only worth 1 point :(

Nice!

I'm going to stop at Target on the way home to check the clearance games, and hopefully I will find packs of 20 oz bottles with codes. :fc:

I have a bunch I haven't cashed in yet. So far I've used them for:
Spoiler:

Foo Fighters - Hey, Johnny Park!
James Gang - Funk #49
Nirvana - Breed
No Doubt -Excuse Me Mr.
No Doubt- New
No Doubt- It's My Life
Pearl Jam - Why Go
Pearl Jam - Even Flow
REM - Losing My Religion
REO Speedwagon - Take It On The Run

But I've got a LOT left. Don't know which I'll get next...

BTW : Paying 440 points for the Maroon 5 set is a whole lot more painful since this promo started

For what it's worth, buying those tracks still would've been painful without the promotion. (Fun drums though, as I anticipated.)

Damn, just got my first losing cap after all winners for my first dozen. Maybe they're awarding songs to the first 5,000 codes entered each day.

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

I'm 15/15. Just entered the 2 my daughter and I had at Transformers. Played them back-to-back and they both won

5,000/day works out to be just about 3.5 every minute. One every 17 seconds or so.

From their FAQ:

For Instant Win: The odds depend on the number of entries received each hour (for consumers playing for the Rock Band 2 Special Edition bundle) or each day (for consumers playing for the Rock Band DLC track).
I'm not really sure how they figure that out in the middle of the day how many will have played by the end of the day. Are your chances better in the morning when they're unsure how many they'll give out or closer to the end of the day when they're running out of time to give away all 5,000? Maybe it's the top of the hour that makes the most sense? Get in there before the 5,000 / 24 = 208.33 tracks are all used up?

I've entered all of mine before 5pm EST, FWIW.

this is bullcrap. I bought one and had a 7/8 chance of getting a code and i ended up with the stupid coupon instead.

So go back, buy another, get one free and you'll have 2 songs and 3 pepsis for the cost of 2.

If the code works on PS3, I'll take it. thanks

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Oops, sorry, I guess I should've mentioned that it's for 360. Since you have to choose your system before getting the code, I'm assuming it would only work for the one you pick.

Right. 3 for $2.22. The B1G1 actually works out better in the end.
