He's in Oregon though, so it would be 8 PM his time.

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 7 - Veritable Cornucopia edition

Hmm with 2 questions left, I wonder who I am going to be wishing for....

The Bus: 125 - meh he's run these games already so it must be collusion! NO!
BlueCC: 123 - has already won a game before and I want to be the only 2-time winner! NO!
JasonF: 121 - used cheap way of getting bonus points, of course it's only cheap because I didn't think of it! NO!
fumanstan: 121 - another previous winner NO!
maxfisher: 117 - ok you can win
orangecrush18: 116 - previous winner! NO!
Mano: 116 - sure why not

Plus they have to get up at like 4am to help with the chores.

That's some revisionist bullshit if you ask me.
Spoiler:
:
The future is relative to the characters that inhabit the world in which they exist. Ratchet & Clank Future is clearly set in the future relative to the characters in the story. The original question said nothing about being relative to 2009.

Spoiler:
I have to at least make a case for it, especially since it was for sheep, where I clearly thought the majority would have picked it

Future relative to the characters when? In previous games?

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 7 - Veritable Cornucopia edition

By that standard, God of War would be a correct answer since the end of the game takes place in the future (relative to the begining of the game).

Suggestion: Your kids probably deserve to be punished (they're kids; I'm sure they've done something wrong lately). Send them to bed now and get on with the results!

That, combined with the fact that the word FUTURE is right there in the title made R&C a no-brainer to me. I think it should count as correct.

I'd also give Mirror's Edge the benefit of the doubt, even though no specific year is mentioned. I don't remember the opening monologue word-for-word, but I remember getting the impression that it's set in the future.

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 7 - Veritable Cornucopia edition

the first motorstorm trailer I saw said something like...

"In a world, like ours...but a little further along in duration..."

which I translate to mean future.

That's why I asked if the characters actually time warp forward within the game.

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 7 - Veritable Cornucopia edition

In that case, wouldn't most sequels be games in the "future" given that they take place some time after the first one in the series?

I went and looked up all the previous results. You're the only person to win twice.

Previous winners for those wondering:
Original Sheep - UncleGramps
Reverse Sheep - fumanstan
Nintendo Theme - Rockmjd23
Microsoft Theme - hail2dking
Sony Theme - The Bus
#5 - BlueCC
#6 - Rockmjd23

orangecrush18 has finished 2nd twice. Doh!

Re: (Reverse) Sheep Round 7 - Veritable Cornucopia edition

I agree with excluding R&C as a valid answer for the future question. I originally had it down and then changed it before submitting my answers. With games set in fantasy worlds, it could all be taking place millions of years ago.

I can't believe I'm in striking distance this close to the end of one of these. If I hadn't completely spaced out that Rock Band is on all three consoles, I'd be within 3 points of first.

I thought orangecrush was declared the winner of the game The Bus won because he ran it.
I'm on to you THE BUS

The important thing to keep in mind is that I have never won. What a rip off!

So here's what we've learned today -- these are the things that Jeremy values more than Sheep:

1. His job
2. His family
