How good is your sound system? Blu-rays have much improved audio over dvds so it's not completely pointless.

Just got an email from Amazon that tomorrow's gonna be all PS3 in the gold box.

You'd also need a pretty good sound system to go beyond normal DD5.1 or DTS. Unless he's an audiophile, I doubt he's got an HDMI receiver if he doesn't have an HDTV...

Yeah I'm hearing impaired so I'm not an audiophile at all. Thanks for the input on Blurays guys, I'm looking at getting a HDTV in the spring so i'll pick up some movies after i upgrade.

I wasn't looking to get a PS3 but a buddy sold me his one month old 120 slim for a great price that i couldn't turn down. I'm really looking forward to checking out Metal Gear Solid 4, the Uncharted games and maybe some LBP.

Dante's Inferno was definitely a God of War clone (in the literal sense) but I had a lot of fun playing the demo anyway.

Certainly a way for the 360 crowd to play "God of War" on their console. Even if the hero/story isn't quite up to par.

Normally I go 360 on multi-console games for if/when I purchase Dante's Inferno it would be on the PS3 since I'm already used to the controls on the DualShock. Also, I believe they're throwing in a bunch of bonuses in the PS3 version but keeping it at the $60 price point.

Upgraded to v3.15 last night and have no issues on my 60GB Fatty. Anyone experience any issues with the new firmware?

Not to mention, Dante's Inferno is the rare instance where the PS3 was the lead platform and the 360 version is the port.

What's your definition of fairly cheap? Nyko's Blu Wave Remote isn't too bad at $15, and it comes with an infrared sensor.

Thanks, that's not bad though I'm having second thoughts about keeping this thing, we just picked it up and we got an old 60 gig version for the PS backwards compatibility, but it wasn't cheap and we're thinking of taking it back for a cheaper regular Blu Ray player.

Did you really think it was trying to be edgy and controversial? I just thought they were trying as hard as they possibly could to make a God of War clone without actually setting it in the realm of Greek mythology. If that was their goal, I don't think they could have succeeded more than they did.
