Well, I'll update to 3.01 if I absolutely have to. Until then, I'll wait.

Re: Official PS3 Thread - March 09 Edition

I updated my 60GB launch unit to 3.01 a couple nights ago with no problems. Watched the Bourne trilogy over the past three nights and loved every second of it. So it seems like no audio issues here.

The problem may not have been on your side. Wasn't PSN down for a time yesterday?

This is probably it. I haven't noticed it at all tonight and I played about an hour.

Wish the PSN store would get updated tonight. I wanted those PSP pinball games.

Is it not going to be updated today for some reason? I guess I missed an announcement somewhere....and here I thought they were just taking their sweet time....at least the Band Hero import finally went up today....

I'm sure it will update. I haven't heard anything about a delay, but sometimes it takes them to late into the night to update the thing.

You waited a year and a half for Braid and now you can't wait any longer???

The update is up now. a couple of freebies : Fat Princess character for PAIN (cool), two characters for the formerly free Rag Doll Kung Fu game (yawn) and the first episode of Season 2 of Full Metal Alchemist (for a few days only).

Braid is available ($15) along with a far less desirable XBLA port, Star Trek DAC ($10, I think).
Those PSP pinball games look cool -- they're based on popluar PS3 games (Hot Shots Golf, PAIN, Uncharted, High Velocity Bowling) and are $3 each. I'm waiting for the inevitable bundle, though.

Cool. I love me some pinball. So those are for PSP download only? How much?

I a glad you guys post stuff like this or I would never hear about it. I haven't seen anything at all regarding PSP pinball downloads.

Tried the Trine demo. Ehhh... Seems cool but not worth $20 and the controls are a bit wonky.

Either you think it's worth $20 or you don't (personally, I do), but the controls are most certainly NOT wonky, they just take a little to get used to.

D'oh. Reading is FUNdamental.

I won't wait on the bundle since it would probably only drop 2 bucks total.

Soo... FF13's coming out in March alongside of GT5, BF:BC2, MLB 10 The Show, and God of War 3.

I'd be happy with that lineup for a whole year but in one month alone? Jesus...

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but MLB 10 has been pushed back to early 2011.

Re: Official PS3 Thread - March 09 Edition

I did a little reading about the Pinball tables for the PSP and it is called "Pinball Heroes" if you are looking for more info on it and the tables are $3.99 each. Supposedly Sony is saying that they will not be bundled and are only available individually. $4 bucks each is pretty steep for these if you compare them to the prices on other pinball games.

Looks like I will wait until a sale or if they do decide to bundle them eventually. I have enough pinball to keep me busy and I really don't want to support overpriced download-only games for the PSP.

I'm ok with the cost. My problem is the tables look incredibly lame. They look like the crappy tables they have in the Sony NBA games on PSP. More gimmick tables than real pinball. I'll buy one this weekend and try it out I guess.
