Holy balls...lots of blowouts tonight. I think attendance was 11 or 12, so better than the past couple of weeks.

I remember laughing a lot, but I can't recall what at.

Zones has potential, but it's kind of broken. I don't really like the whole chaining thing. It makes it really hard to come back once you get down. Definitely not more than a map or two of zones next week...if that. I was mostly loading them because I thought they'd be familiar to Gonzo, but he's already bought the DLC, so I think he's all-in.

Collection was pretty decent though. Maybe a Collection theme next week. I'm usually hesitant to play it because it seems like there's always somebody who doesn't know how, but I think pretty much everybody understands it now.

Gonzo is a quick study...figure he'll loose his newbie status pretty quick.

Great to see Flip, R2 and Brian in the game! :up:

That was pretty funny.

Someone had taken the tank from our base at Archipelago (the one normally used for defense) and was apparently rumbling across the map. I joked that somebody must be taking that 5 minute tank ride to the other team's base, and I get the quip above. :up:

On that map we were up by 2 or 3 flags but I guess the team needed closure.

Talking with the guys at work today, and my favorite sequence was Marcus grabbing the flag on Communique as I fly in. He hops in a jeep and is about to round the corner out of the base, and I see that KTown is waiting for him with a tank. I realize I can't take out the tank quickly enough to save Marcus and am planning my next move when the other team's missile turret splodes the tank out of nowhere, and Marcus drives his jeep through the flames. Gonzo had snuck in there and commandeered their turret!!!

I think he's going to fit in...maybe even on the douchey squad! :lol:

BTW, attendance last night was 12 including Brian, so we're getting back to normal numbers. :up:

Was the laughing you were thinking about when you and I were cats and R2's jeep was a ball of yarn? That had me laughing pretty good.

Getting R2 with the mines was great as well. Three or four times he drove into them. I was wondering how you were getting back there so fast, R2. I whipped out my sniper rifle and saw that you had that base on the bridge and must have been spawning there. Just as I put the rifle away I noticed a green thing in the corner of the screen, pulled it back up and there were the binocs. I just waited for a moment and sure enough you spawned there again, but then someone else came into view and I couldn't tell which one was you. I waited a second trying to figure it out, and then one of you went for the binocs. Dead give away. Pulled the trigger and sure enough, it was you. :lol:

Poor R2...Slider probably chased him away for another 4-5 months. -rolleyes-

And yeah...pushing his (and Nic's) jeep around was hilarious...especially since he was laughing his ass off as well. I eventually pushed Nic out of bounds and made him suicide.

Yeah. I had a great time. If you're around I'm going to try to sign on for some tonight. As soon as I quit last night I was itching to play some more. I have enjoyed my moonlighting in Call of Douchey, but BFBC2 online is, quite frankly, EPIC.

"EPIC" is a good word...the size of the maps...shit blowing up and destructing all around you...buildings collapsing...the ground deforming...and better looking than CoD to boot...just an amazing piece of software.

The next Battlefield comes out tomorrow, but I can't be bothered with that shit, and honestly, Battlefield requires teammates who I can talk to and who don't wander off and snipe for extended periods.

If you want to miss out on a superior experience, that's your business.

Gonzo just traded in Black Ops for Borderlands GOTY. :lol:

I picture us rolling every Friday night with 3 squads: A team and change from my office and a team and change from DVD talk. It wouldn't be too hard to set up...just let me get 4 in a squad and then join my game to start the second squad. I don't know if you noticed Flip, but Sean and his son were in our game last night on one of the other squads.

Regardless of skill level, I've never seen a Conquest match where the most organized team didn't win, so we'd do very well.

If we can get three or four committed DVDtalkers, then I will consider picking it up with the money from trading in the rest of the rotating games. I mean, if you guys are willing to have someone who allegedly goes off and snipes for extended periods. -_-

I just don't want to go out and get it with the expectation of playing it every friday night, and then nobody shows up and I end up with another failed purchase.
