If anybody can figure out how to solve this while still using wireless, I'd appreciate it.

He did but hasn't gotten it yet...said he probably wouldn't make it, but might pop in late...didn't want to risk it.

Highlights for me:

EPIC EPIC EPIC flag run with marcus and me on Archipelago. I slipped up through the tunnel into the blue base...flamethrowered Nic's tank...grabbed the flag before he could respawn...back through the tunnel...grabbed a jeep...Slider's trying to take me out in a Warhawk and flips my jeep sideways on a tree...I get out and hit Slider once with a rocket launcher...Marcus Warhawks in and shoots him down..."Thank you Marcus"...I'm now on foot again, and Chew's in a jeep turret shooting at Marcus...I grenade him...I turn around and see Nic is doing the exact same thing...and I grenade him....I grab the burning jeep that I'd just grenaded just missing a dude on foot who'd spawned there...Chew, assume...catch the repair gear...drive like a bat out of hell telling Sean to protect our flag...a Warhawk chases me down and catches me on the ramps up to my base...Marcus takes it out..."Thank you Marcus"...flaming jeep up to our base...plant it for the 1-1 tie...Rocky Pose!

- Good to see Marcus involved in a run like that.

- Sean got a pretty decent flag cap on Island Outpost...good for him.

- Slider setting Chew's tank on the highest tower imaginable on Omega Factory.

- TDM on Urban Strike with multiple suicides...Nic mining everything...driving Chew around shooting bitches...Nic trying to kill me multiple times and coming "this close"...mining Nic and Slider at once at the last possible moment...craziness all around.

- Binocs on Tau Crater. I hardly ever use them, but that was fun.

- Infected was a good time.

- Douchebag started rough, since my team was kind of weak, but we started pulling it together and listening for mines and evened it up a bit.

- I blame Chew.

- Missed Cruz.

I had this issue before with my old router. I turned off the media server option on my ps3. If that does not work, you may have to get a new router.

I've been using a Linksys WRT54 for years. If it is in fact related to the router, why did it take nearly 2 years of Warhawk to become a problem on one night?

Any $75-ish router suggestions?

i have a cheap netgear g router and it works fine for me. I used to have a linksys and after a few years it would disconnect me constantly. I think the netgear ones are around $35

last night on island outpost when we took a 2-0 lead, frizby switches teams, then I see slider suicide, that bastard switched teams too. I wasn't going to be by myself so I switched. take that biznatches. It was fun chasing frizby when he had the flag and trying to teamkill him.

There was a delay of a good 20-30 seconds between the time I was truly disconnected from the server and when I actually got the message.

In that span of time, everyone else froze in place. Yet, any active weapons fire continued in a short split-second loop.

On Archipelago, I was rolling up the first bridge toward our base and fired on chess because he had just landed his Warhawk after saving his flag. The shots didn't have any effect. I rolled closer and closer and got out of my tank. chess is there, frozen, yet firing his weapon. From the opposite direction, I see turret fire coming. I'm circling him and can't do squat.

Then "Game Over. Server Disconnected"

I wonder if I just disappeared?

Reminds me of another highlight though. I think it was on Badlands. Chew kills Nic, me and somebody else with one rocket...Trifecta!!!

That was on Island Outpost, if it's the time I'm thinking of. He killed me in my warhawk, then shot one more rocket and it killed you and nic who were by the flag. Putting Chew's tank on the top of that tower was pretty great, but then I felt bad so I helped him down.

"Helped him down" I could've done that.


Router news: I switched to the Linksys WRT54GL I had lying around. Unlike the old WRT54, the GL is running Tomato. It should be much better once I get the right settings for gaming.

Now to just find the right settings for gaming.....

You could have flown a drop ship at full speed into your own tank? I doubt that, Chew. I doubt that very much.

I was worn out from lack of sleep, too much work and cranky baby. I logged on that night for about 5 minutes to check PSN for anything new around 11 and then went right to bed.

Sounds like I missed out on some epic shenanigans.

I think we need to write up a Douche Code, a list of ethic guidelines for douches. The first list item should be that no douche can ambient warfare another douche. Nic tried to ambient me like fifteen times and that's not how a douche should treat a fellow douche. I would never do that kind of thing to him.

First, Ambient warfare kills can be chalked up to unintentional consquences of agressive tactics by a douchebag, therefore we must do nothing. And secondly, you must be a douchebag for the Douchebag's Code to apply, which you are of course, but we don't care. And thirdly, the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. As a douchebag you should know that douchebags have a tendency to operate outside the boundaries of certain rules in order to cater to the annoyance of their oppponents and to make themselves giggle. I hope I have cleared that proposition up by disinclining to acquiesce to your request.

Yes you did. I've never seen Chew cheat like he did Tuesday night, and Slider was...shall we say...in rare form.

chess: I bought the latest Borderlands DLC and it hopefully downloaded during the overnight PSN+ auto-download. I'm on vacation all next week, so whenever you want to roll.
