The other night at my Target I found Uncharted for $7. I picked it up for another run through for trophies

Hmm.. I don't think I've seen Uncharted at a Target in a while. The last time I did, they still wanted $29.98 or close on clearance. I'd have jumped on it for $7.98

Wow! I just wanted to find it for $14.98. I had a chance to get it at $29.98, but still too much for a game I had already borrowed and played.

For the PS3, I did pick up Virtua Fighter 5 for $13.98, Fracture for $19.98, Far Cry 2 for $14.98 and Rock Band Track Pack for $14.98 over the past week. I really want to get Fracture for less than $10, but my Targets always sell out of the PS3 clearance games about a week after they hit the Clearance shelf.

I saw a couple copies of The Bourne Conspiracy the other day for 19.98.

I just got back from my local Target and they had mucho copies for $7.48.

No shit. I need to look for this the next time I am near a Target. I tend to have good luck finding these deals at my local stores.

Toys R Us, Sears & Kmart are also great stores to check for clearance sales. Anyone looking to capitalize owes it to themselves to sign up for a CAG account and check the threads at least once a week. Over the last month, I've picked up:

I was at my local Target today and saw BioShock for the PS3 for about $28 and Guitar Hero III Legends of Rock, also for the PS3, for about $13 in the video game clearance section. I don't have a PS3; otherwise, I would've jumped on both of these.

Bioshock is pretty consistently on sale for $29.99 these days. There was 1 week when you could have gotten it for $19.99 with a coupon at Best Buy a few weeks back.

Thanks for the info. I don't have a PS3, so I don't pay attention to the sales. Hopefully, by the end of the year, I'll have one along with a HDTV.

Picked up Mercenaries 2 for Xbox 360 this morning for $14.98. Not bad for a game that just came out 6 months ago.

Lucked out yesterday. Happened to be at Target so my daughter could pick out something with the money she received for her birthday. Stopped by the clearance section and all the prices were tagged the same as last Monday.

Just for the heck of it, I entered the code for the Singstar bundle into one of the price checkers and it showed a price of $14.98 (even though they were still tagged $29.98). I picked up the last 2. Nothing else dropped. Drops at this Target usually happen on Mondays, so no idea why this one dropped mid-weekend.

I'll be returning one I had purchased at $29.98 to the same Target so someone else can benefit as well.

Snagged Tomb Raider Underworld & The Last Remnant for $14.98 each and Too Human for $9.98 yesterday. Also saw Lego Batman for $12.48.

One Target near me always has one copy of Madden 09 en Espanol for the PS3 in the clearance rack. It it gets below 10, I may pick it up for the hell of it.

Merc2 was $10 in BB with RZ... Even with that price, i still don't want it.

i'm not buying games because they're cheap, a new year resolution i haven't brake yet. Okay, maybe the $10 Warhawk packs, but i do play that game once in a while (you can't rent DLC).

Counting in my head, but that looks like $111.

Even if you'd paid full retail, you could have gotten 2 AAA games for that...and you might have actually played them.

Just saying.

Conversely, I can pop these in, try each of them for 20 or 30 minutes, and sell the ones I get nothing out of on half.com or ebay for more than I paid for them. I'll probably end up really enjoying a couple games I wouldn't have otherwise tried and, in the end, it's cheaper and not much more of a hassle than renting.

I liked the first one.
