I played the demo and liked the actual gameplay. Unfortunately the demo is multiplayer only and i couldn't find a tutorial or anything to explain what all the classes, skills, and weapons actually are.

So apparently Forza is not only an xbox exclusive but it's published by Microsoft gaming studios.... Now for the GAMESTOP FAIL

http://playstationlifestyle.net/wp-c...a1-300x331.jpg

forza3

Although the title Forza 3 is published by Microsoft Game Studios and is a definite exclusive for their console, that didn’t stop GameStop from confusing it as a multi-platform title. It seems GameStop employees made the huge mistake of printing pre-order boxes for Forza 3 which show it as available for the PlayStation 3. Even though it’s undoubtedly an error, there’s no doubt it will confuse lots of people who see it in stores.
From a ps3 site I visit

Gamestop is just full of fail aren't they?

Isn't that the second time Forza has been used? Back when the PS3 launched didn't Forza images get used to promote GranTourismo HD somewhere? (or something along those lines?)

My guess is they're probably still taking preorders for the PS3 version.

They may be willing to convert it to a Game Informer subscription.

I see that GTA: Lost & Damned dlc is on sale this week for 1200 points instead of the usual 1600. Is it worth it?

GTA is still one that I got halfway thru and need to finish. I wonder if we will be seeing a cheaper special edition with the game and all the DLC added later.

You won't. But there will be a stand-alone disc released at the same time with Lost & Damned and Gay Tony on it for $40. Figure in ECA discount and it's a wash buying the game via Amazon (at MSRP) vs buying the two DLC packs via Marketplace with this sale. That's the way I'm going to go since the two DLC packs require so much HDD space and would still require the original game in the drive -- there's no real advantage there (and if you don't dig the DLC, you can sell a physical disc).

Are you sure you can play the game with the new disc? I don't know how the Fallout 3 discs work, but the Mass Effect CE had the DLC on the bonus disc and you had to install it to the hard drive before you could use it.

Good idea. When is that coming out?

The Fallout 3 DLC disc are the same way, you put the disc in for The Pitt/Operation: Anchorage it copies to the HD you don't need the disc again.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest

Ok, so then in this case you would still need the GTA disc in the drive and all the HDD drive space for the 2 GTA expansions.

Since you can get deals on points (even via ECA), I would say just get the current DotW for the first expansion and, if you like it, go for the 2nd later. Maybe even wait for it to be a DotW in 2010.

From Joystiq:
Rockstar announces GTA: The Ballad of Gay Tony, coming to Xbox Live and retail compilation
The second episode of Rockstar's promised downloadable expansions to Grand Theft Auto IV has been announced! The cheeky developer revealed the DLC as The Ballad of Gay Tony, which places you in the (assumed) fancy shoes of Luis Lopez, a "part-time hoodlum and full-time assistant to legendary nightclub impresario Tony Prince" (or "Gay Tony"), the titular bar mogul who made a number of appearances in GTA IV.

While we're sure to hear more about the particulars of Gay Tony during E3, the method of the game's release should prove to be interesting as well. Not only will the expansion hit Xbox Live this fall for $19.99, it'll also appear on a retail disc with The Lost and Damned. This retail disc, titled Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City, won't contain the core GTA IV game -- nor will it require GTA IV to play. It'll hit store shelves in the fall, selling for $39.99. We'll let you know more when we know more!

Though it souns like Gay Tony might be delayed to 2010, per another article there.

Megan Fox Wants To Play Transformers With You

Perhaps the thumb will be to Miss Fox's advantage in Saturday's Game with Fame session, during which she'll be challenging Autobots and Decepticons alike if multiplayer matches of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the release of the Character and Map Pack Plus downloadable content than adding "Megan Fox 2009" to your Xbox friends list, logging in around 3PM Pacific on Saturday, August 29th, and weeping quietly as everyone but you gets to play with her.

GOTY edition of Gears 2 coming out on Sept 1st for $39.99

http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/Prod...oduct_id=75730

Looks like it has all of the downloadable content on there too. That is a killer price if it's true.

Well, my RRoD Xbox 360 came back to me today via UPS. Shockingly, it was my own 360 but they added a nice big crack to the top of the case for me.

Oh well, at least it works again.

Call them ASAP and report it. That happened to me on my very first RROD in '06. I didn't notice it until a week later so by the time I called they didn't believe it was their fault since I waited so long to call. They figured I dropped it, or something on my watch and was looking for a free repair.

'Buy our shitty game and downloadable content to have a very small chance at playing with Megan Fox.'

I think I'll pass.

Well, I spent about 20 minutes on the line with MS Support, and they said that I'd have to ship it back and wait another 2 weeks to get it back again. It's not an overly huge deal, but I guess some MS Points would have nice.

I wasn't really looking for a big handout, but it just sucks that I get a cracked Xbox due to having to ship it back for a RRoD.
