Do we really care about her thumbs? Or the words that come out of her mouth? Just another bimbo with 15 minutes of fame IMO.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
Has anyone been able to confirm if the price drops for the 360 are actually going to happen this weekend or not?
I have seen the advanced sales ads for them but nothing official from MS yet. |
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
The official word from MS is all over the place. Here's the short of it from Major Nelson.

Now should I worry about seeking a jasper 360 or not bother? Or are they all jasper chips now? |
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
Semi-official? :hscratch: You do know who Larry Hryb (Major Nelson) is, right?
Have you checked any of the gaming blogs that have already reported on Microsoft's announcement? Or even the link in Major's post that went to MS's own PR? http://www.xbox.com/en-US/press/2009/0827-pricedrop.htm |
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
And, yes, they're all Jasper now. But if you want to be sure, take a look through the window in the side of the box and find the voltage to the left of the S/N barcode. It can be tricky to see, but it's there.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
If you are not able to hook up a 360 online right away and start playing games offline do scores and stats and such update retroactively from when you do connect it or does it only start tracking from the date you get online?

Achievements - You'll get all the credit, as long as the account is not in 2 places simultaneously. The only thing you won't have tracked when offline is the date you earned the achievement since the Date/Time is picked up from the XBL servers. |
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
I purchased an Elite on 7/8/09 from Best Buy. Is there any chance B.B. would price match it?

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
Even "Premiere Silver RZ Members" only get a 45-day return window, which puts you over by... 31 + 28 - 8... carry the one... 6 days.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
Dumb question...I was thinking about buying another xbox (either arcade or refurb 20gb) for an upstairs bedroom mainly for Netflix. I thought about another Roku but the xbox is just another $75 bucks more and the interface is a lot more user friendly since the update and you can never have too many xboxes. So...do you have to have two gamertags for that to work or can you just port yours over to the xbox being used. Can you have them both running at the same time? Do you have to take the harddrive off one and put it on the other each time (which would be a major pain the ass)?
Just trying to decide the best route to go. |
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
Do the Arcade SKUs still have a Memory Unit in there? If so, get that and put your profile and relevant game saves on it and move that back and forth. Any large DLC would have to reside on the HDD and you'd have to move that back and forth or get a 2nd.

I think I read that the 512MB in the Arcade is now internal. No MU. You can get a cheap 64MB one on ebay though.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
So, apparently 2 different sources have leaked info on a new 360 SKU called the "Super Elite", 250GB behemoth with 2 wireless controllers, and Forza 3.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
I'm thinking on getting an Arcade this holiday season too. I have an Elite right now.
I was actually thinking on moving the hard drive back and forth. And also the wireless adapter (I'm cheap...) Do I need something else? So I get the new Arcade, put the hard drive in, turn on the console, will it read everything the same as the Elite? |
Re: The Official Xbox 360 thread - thread hardest
You could always get it at Amazon and get 13months of gold for free . http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-360-Elite...KTDFG16N7MQYWR
Although the free months only work on the new sku with the different box. Instead you could get the FAble2/Halo 3 bundle, or the Kung Fu Panda/Lego Indy bundle which are both 299 also. |
