I played that fucking song for the last 30 minutes and still can't get past 30% of that piece of shit. Who in their right mind would even like or listen to that shit? It's not even a song, it's just noise. This is the first time I've ever played the song, and man, I wish I would've practiced it before starting the endless. What a huge god damn letdown. Fuck you, Rock Band!!!

fwiw this exact thing happened to me today

got to visions and failed like 25 times then said fuck it, that little colored icon doesn't mean shit in my life

It was set-up perfectly for me today. The wife & kids were next door playing with the neighbor's kids and I had all day, so I figured well, it's endless setlist time!! I thought about doing it on bass, but opted for guitar instead...big mistake. I could've used that time to go for the 7 day survivor on Dead Rising, or hunt some flags on Assassin's Creed, or even surf pr0n all day, but Noooo, I had to play the endless. What a waste of a holiday. 0 achievements today, and I'm sad.

DLC post is updated for this week's stuff, with the exception of Cuz U R Next drums, which I haven't found yet.

Also, another wireless guitar enters the mix. Seafoam Green P-Bass.

Sorry you didn't make it through dvdsteve! Visions was the only song I had concerns about going into my run at the Bladder Buster trophy (or whatever they call the Endless Setlist sans breaks/pauses/fails), and it concerned me enough that I stepped down to Hard. Fortunately I passed the song after spending a good chunk of time in the red. Since then I've been putting off trying for the Expert level Endless Setlist trophy because of that ridiculous song. Good luck if you ever go for it again. If it helps any, it is an immensely satisfying accomplishment, much moreso than the AC flag hunt.

Speaking of the Endless Setlist - if I get a couple o' friends together and try this as a band, I'd be the only one playing on Expert. When we make it through, will I get that trophy, or does EVERYONE playing need to be on Expert for that to happen?

You'll only get the achievement/trophy for whatever the lowest difficulty is. Easiest instrument for expert is probably either bass or vocals. Although Visions bass is still pretty tough.

I didn't see this anywhere in the thread, but Unplugged got an 8.2 from IGN. They loved the gameplay, but not the lack of multi-player.

http://psp.ign.com/articles/986/986116p1.html

Both reviews on Metacritic say that the DLC tracks will cost from $.99-1.99. Hmmm...I knew at ~.99, I'd have a tough time justifying a song repurchase except in extreme cases. But at 1.99, I'm afraid it's not going to happen at all. I really hope that the 1.99 is the exception to the rule.

Update on DLC Post..

Npeaen was suspended from Youtube. This means that *most* guitar videos that I linked to are dead. It seems that Universal bitched about his Chinese Democracy vids, and all the complaining from UMG caught up with him.

I don't think I'll have a quick fix, but I'll try to link up good vids for this week's songs tomorrow at the least.

Curses! Oh, well - at least I can fail out a few (dozen) times and still finish with a platinum trophy. I wonder how many million virtual fans I'll lose when I decide to give this a go?

I noticed the Taking Back Sunday / Alice Cooper songs from last week are in the Playstation Store... but not the in-game Rock Band Music Store, which stinks cuz you can only preview the songs from within the game. But you CAN download them from the playstation store.

As always, they don't get it. This will have a direct impact on the DLC I buy.

Looks like the DLC announcement is going to go out tonight via the Community Newsletter. HMXThrasher said there's "lots of awesome coming your way".

I have a feeling you're probably right, steebo. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was the Green Day stuff.

That stinks I always check his videos out ever tuesday morning before I buy anything. Well there are other video hosting sites maybe he could use a lesser known one without copyright issues..

Me too. It seems pretty shortsighted to go after folks who are doing free viral marketing for your product.

I mean, it's not like watching the video is any substitute for playing the game.

The Npeaen thing had nothing to do with Harmonix. They even linked to his vids on their official forums.

The suspension came down from UMG (Universal) and to a lesser extent WMG (Warner). They have a huge issue with people using their music in videos. That's why some Rock Band YouTubers like IBitePrettyHard decide to audioswap so you can see the chart, and listen to some public domain polka. Npeaen chose not to do that and dispute the copyright claims under "fair use", and lost. He'll be back in one form or another sooner or later.

I don't understand this since he was not using music in a video per se.

He was recording a video of himself playing a game which he rightfully owns and in which the music was already licensed.

With this nonsense ruling I am not able to make family videos of a birthday party where people are playing RB and a WMG tune comes up and then post it on facebook or youtube without getting hassle from TPTB.

I mean what is the darn difference here really?

There was a song playing in the background of a newborn baby video of mine that had like 10 views and the fucking audio was pulled. I can't find the original file on my PC and now I'm screwed.
