Flexible on the rest.

I'm in for some PS3 band action. I'm medium on everything though.

I'm very excited about Would?, but I feel like it will be much more fun to play on drums or vocals than guitar or bass.

I can sort of see the logic in Harmonix's decision, though. It sort of saves you from yourself.

On the Twin Rocker, if you hold down pedal A, it doesn't register pedal B at all, does it?

HMX is saying that the sound is made as you strike and therefore that's when the signal should be sent. It is unfortunate that the adapter can't seem to keep up.

No. With the Twin Rocker (and with this other adapter) you can have one pedal held down, and the other one will still register. If you use just a normal splitter however, you get the behavior you described, that is why something like the Twin Rocker exists in the first place.

This is because by default, once the pedal is held down, the signal of it being pressed down continues to be sent until the pedal raises. So I believe how the Twin Rocker (and this other adapter) works, is by simply sending a single pulse when you press down the pedal as if you pressed and then released the pedal.

Totally, but that's ok right? I personally wish they would offer more songs that don't necessarily have every component. Just as long as they're letting you know well enough before you make the purchase. I'd love some White Stripes and Ting Tings for the drums alone.

No Excuses in GH:M was awesome on drums and pretty good on vocals (I think it was mischarted, or maybe just never really heard how high/low they get certain places), but really boring on guitar/bass. I wouldn't mind a guitarless song, as long as everything else was incredible.

Side note: Shut Up And Let Me Go was once on loop for about a week straight while I played WoW

Trying to do Shag's Challenge #6 and have scores I'm happy with on Promised Land and Headphones on. First try on each too!

But I'm having a bitch of a time on drums. I got a new RB2 set a few months ago, but haven't used it yet. Either I'm out of practice or I have some serious cross-talk going on.

Anybody have any advice on how to "tweak" it? It's an "SL" set, I think.

"Waking the Demon" might be in my top 5 favorite songs for drumming. I've only made it through 80% of the song on Expert, but I think I could get through it if I have a good run. Even when I fail it, it's a lot of fun to play.

I had some serious cross-talk on my RB2 kit as well when I first got it. I popped the heads off and tightened the piezos on the heads that seemed to be giving me problems. Now it's pretty much perfect.

I love alternating flam/bass drum charts like this! Have you tried Thrasher's drums?

I have Thrasher but haven't played it in a long time. I should probably revisit it.

Didn't really like the track in the game, how is the rest of it?

That's not GnR though, that's Axel and his band. Bring on some Appetite for Destruction, Use Your Illusion, etc.

Unfortunately, I'll be skipping this.

Definitely skipping this one.

I like that Rock Band is getting newer releases like this, but this one isn't for me.

When the news hit that it was eventually coming, I was open to it. Now that it's announced, I'm a little lukewarm on it. I'll see what happens Tuesday and may try a couple.

I do wish they'd figure out a way to patch in a better/louder mix of Shackler's Revenge, though. It's probably going to stick out like a sore thumb compared to the rest of the album, like it seems to compared to most of the songs currently in the game.

Yeah, Appetite for Destruction or Use Your Illusion? I'm in without thinking. Stupid Chinese Democracy? No thanks.

I thought the album was borderline terrible. And this isn't Guns...

Awesome! I can't wait until next week!!
I do wonder though, how much fun will "This I Love" be as the song doesn't even have any guitar for the first 2:10 or any drums until 3:15 into the song! We need that piano/keyboard expansion to the game now....

I'll likely pick up "Chinese Democracy" and "Better". Definitely not the entire album though.

I'm not one to normally bitch about DLC, but damn this sucks. I'd rather have more Spongebob than this "Guns and Roses".

This is what I was about to say...this is NOT Guns n Roses. "You could be mine" would be an awesome band song, "Sweet Child" & "Jungle" would also be great for all instruments, but I'd love me some "Brownstone, Night-train, Civil War, My Michelle, and Dust n Bones".

Re: Rock Band: Official Thread

Axl said in an interview somewhere that if this does well, he'll consider letting Harmonix at the old stuff. It's pretty clear that this is basically a pay-to-play for them to get the more popular stuff, so I'm not going to grouse about the fact that AfD isn't here yet.
