Is it because the song sucks?

Nah, even on the RB forums people are very excited for it. No one is complaining that it wasn't included on the previous release where it was omitted without reason.

The exclusion of "New" was the reason I chose to cherry-pick the songs that I wanted from the album. One more song would have put me in the "it's cheaper to just buy the whole thing" group.

I would have bought the album if New was on it as well, I ended up only getting 2 songs to spite Harmonix, but I will pick up New anyway, it's my favorite No Doubt song.

I thought they were holding the song out to be in RB3.

Now that I think about it, what do you think the odds are that we get live cuts from the actual tour? That would blow.

I believe the Cruefest pack and Rock Band Live 2008 Tour pack were both full of studio versions. Both were tie-ins to concert tours.

It's a very good possibility, unfortunately. After the big letdown I experienced with the Thin Lizzy tracks, I am praying for studio versions.

I can't help but think of one of my favorite MST3K skits:

Servo: I know I stand alone on this, but the day Blansky's Beauties got cancelled.

Crow: Yeah, you pretty much stand alone on that. Sinbad's pretty icky.

Joel: Yeah, and how about the Charlene Tilton workout video?

Servo: Joel! How can we possibly survive in a world that keeps giving us constant images of Hell?

Joel: Well, there's personal liberty, strength of convictions; those have been known to work. And there are the times when we rise as one to beat back Hell. Like the time when we as a nation said "No!" to Yahoo Serious.

Crow: I remember that. There we were, inexplicably drawn to the slobbering mouth of Hell. Then, at the last moment, saved just like Moses and the Israelites.

Servo: Now who in Creation is powerful enough to do that?!

Crow [as Goliath]: Gee, Davey, do ya think it was God?

Lenny is one of my favorites too. I'm so excited for this album! SRV is one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

What the heck, in for New.

Made a special Saturday night trip to the Internet because I felt something calling me. This is it.

I think I'm going to stick with Track Packs as much as possible in the future. The 3 titles they list are on my wishlist already. I would imagine nearly everything on "Classic Rock" is on my wishlist, actually. Though I'm not sure how DK fit into that, but I'm not complaining.

If the aforementioned Styx, REO, and 38 Special make it on there (why wouldn't they?), then it's just the cherry on top.

Sadly, I would expect some duplicates for me from Boston and The Who on this, but that happens.

Can't wait for the full list.
