Summary: Lots of talk about Rock Band 2 and DLC

New Downloadable Content (DLC) is released weekly.
XBox 360 - Tuesday 5:00 AM EST
PS3 - Thursday evenings 5:00 PM

Rock Band 2 Instruments

Guitar
- Wireless is now standard
- Auto-calibration through a microphone/light sensor combo
- Less "mushy" strumbar
- Less clicky fret buttons

Drums
- Wireless is now standard
- Pressure-sensitive pads
- Metal-reinforced bass pedal
- Pedal is now attached to the stand so it won't fall off when moving
- 1/8" ports on the back of the kit allow for the addition of high hat controller, as well as three optional cymbals

- Real electronic kit rigged up for Rock Band
- Can be used as a true electronic kit with the addition of a drum brain (not included)

Accessories
- Mad Catz cymbal add-ons ($30) Used to add cymbals to the standard RB2 drumkit. These will not change anything in the game.
- Mad Catz premium microphone ($50) Wired mic with built-in controller functionality. With this, the vocalist will no longer need to have a controller handy as well.
- PDP Rock Band Stage Kit. Provides synchronized lighting and fog effects for every song released.

The Challenge: This challenge is open to drummers and guitarists/bassists. The goal of the challenge is to get the highest score while maintaining the lowest streak!

Man, you sure do get uppity about the whole thing. The last one went on twice as long as the DVD Talk standard. A change in policy should come down from the Admins, not the mods. He's just doing what he's supposed to do while catering as much as possible to your needs of starting the threads. At least it was 4-6 weeks instead of 2-3.

Time to move on and not hold it against L&O.

Anyway, back on topic.... nickalodean songs and hopefully one of the albums I am going for.... Seems like its been awhile since we got a complete album. Bring on the Texas Flood or some nice Janes Addiction

I would actually like more posts. Sometimes it's dead in here!

I just don't like the arbitrary closing of threads. I've said it again and again that I find it silly. I don't see it on other vBulletin forums, and I didn't see it anywhere in DVDTalk's Terms of Use either. It's just something that I cannot comprehend.

Anyone here buy a lot of DLC and occasionally "rediscover" a track you had played before but forgotten about? I just sang "Bandages" by Hot Hot Heat last night and I had forgotten how much fun it is!

Almost every time I play. That's why I really love Mystery Setlists. I can create my own and go right past songs I've forgotten about, but it seems like I always get gems in Mystery.

Not even DLC, either. "Highway Star" popped up the other night, and I hadn't played it in forever. It was even more awesome than I remember. (The rest of Machine Head for DLC, please.) And I gold-starred it for my first time.
