Just curious, but wouldn't editing the post be better than deleting it?

Two of the probably several reasons are that it would eliminate the confusion you speak of here, and it would serve as a visible reminder of the rules.

He was actually referring to a post by Liver. Most of what Liver posts is little better than Spam on a good day...

I'm tempted by Blur...is there any reason I should pick this up instead of Wipeout HD (yes, I'm behind the times)? It seems both are racing games with a weapon element and I probably don't need both.

I don't know about Blur, but my problem with Wipeout HD is that it gets really hard after the first few circuits. (Unless I just suck at it.) I'm not even going to bother with the Fury add-on.

Hm. I'm an average gamer in general, so if it gets hard quickly, I'll probably be frustrated. Maybe I should just get Modnation Racers and forget the other two. Any other opinions?

Update: Saw this @ Slickdeals today and stopped by Best Buy on the way home from work and it scanned in that order with no problems. $12.14 after tax.

Purchase MUST be made in this order to use both coupons at Best Buy:

1) Scan Game
2) Scan Reward Zone Card
3) Scan $10 Reward Zone coupon
4) Scan Manufacturer coupon

Confirmed working here in Atlanta. Thanks!

I did have to step the woman through how to ring up the MFGR coupon. Apparently you have to hit F7, then enter the amount and then hit F7 again. She kept trying to enter "enter."

Thanks again!

That's a good idea. And we often do that. But if the offending member has a lot of spam posts across many threads in many forums, then it's much easier to just select all their posts and remove them. Also, we generally assume that you guys are all smart enough to figure out that a post was removed. It's when I get confused that I try to leave a MOD NOTE (if I'm confused, then there must be someone else confused ... maybe ).

For $10, I couldn't pass this up....even though I probably don't have time to play it.

I'm a free speech at-all-costs to the extreme, so I'd still prefer the legitimate comments being retained, the spam content being removed, and a mod note of "spam removed, user banned". This would be a visual warning to others. And it seems like much of the time other problem posts are simply removed rather than edited.

Just my personal pet peeve I'm sure, for the reasons I stated and others I would rather leave everything in place, with mod comments/actions added.

More time consuming for a thankless payless job I know, just one of my quirks, that I'll probably keep mentioning until I'm suspended someday.

We probably need more mods if there is that big of a spam problem. I nominate everyone but me.

No dice for me. The girl at customer service told me that the $20 coupon is only good on regular prices and that I couldn't use both on the game. Best I could have done was $29.99. I passed and kept both coupons. I'll try again tomorrow.

Xbox 360
LIPS - Number One Hits Bundle (includes Wireless Interactive Microphone) - Wireless Mic is compatible with Rock Band and Guitar Hero! is only $19.99 with free shipping at Buy.com.

Looks like it is through a 3rd party seller (GameRush) but was listed in the Buy.com daily ad, so hopefully that's a good sign. New copies of Lips #1 also include 1 5 free song pack to download. I'm deciding right now whether to buy it or not. Vocals is my bread and butter, I just never played a Lips game before though.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I bought it at Wal-Mart for $15 for the wireless mic. Easily worth it for that. Haven't tried the game but picking the free song pack was a no brainer. Here are the options:

Lips House Party
LL Cool J ? Going Back To Cali
Bobby Brown ? My Prerogative
Janet Jackson ? Nasty
Paula Abdul ? Straight Up
Montell Jordan ? This Is How We Do It

Lips Hearts and Heartbreak Tour
James Blunt ? 1973
Daniel Powter ? Bad Day
Robbie Williams ? Eternity
Daniel Bedingfield ? If You?re Not the One
Jewel ? You Were Meant For Me

Lips Turn It Up to 11 Tour
30 Seconds to Mars ? From Yesterday
Coldplay ? Lost!
Nickelback ? Photograph
Hoobastank ? The Reason
My Chemical Romance ? Welcome to the Black Parade

Yeah, personally the other two packs just seem like whiney bitches, but that's just my opinion. I dunno, the Amazon reviews make it sound terrible, but the large library of DLC, the price and the mic make $20 seem like a good bargain.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I need to get the House Party Pack.

I got the game cheap a couple months ago and picked the Turn It Up To 11 pack.
A friend also bought the game and gave me the free dlc code. They got the bundle cheap and just wanted the microphone to use in Rock Band. So I picked the Heartbreak pack because of the Jewel song.

If anyone is not going to use the code that came with the game, ie you just wanted the microphone, I'll be happy to take that code off your hands. Let me know. Thanks.

Trade In Value for this game is $22.00 at Amazon.com.

If you were to get this game for $10 at Best Buy, would be unethincal to make some money in this deal? It would be kind of like getting a free $12 gift card to Amazon.
