"Call of the Sea" adventure game, free until March 16th on Epic Game Store. Got good reviews, looks a little "Myst-ish".

It was okay. I played it on Gamepass awhile back. Forgettable for the most part.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I'm not sure where to put this or if it's being talked about somewhere, but the 3DS and WiiU store closes tomorrow. I picked up a few virtual console games on the WiiU, but the real bargain is on the 3DS where you can get Monster Hunter, Resident Evil, Ace Attorney, Street Fighter IV, and other Capcom games for $3. No other great deals, but Nintendo has some good titles on their greatest hits line for $20 and also a bunch of virtual console titles for under $10. Can pick up the original Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow and other Gameboy originals or plenty of NES SNES games too

Wow, I just bought some Switch credits for $45 for $50 earlier today. Thanks for that additional heads up, I submitted a price adjustment request.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I'm not sure how widely available this is, but Google is giving a $7 credit for purchases made on Google Play for PC beta.

I saw it on a banner on this page:
https://play.google.com/store/games?device=windows

More details:
https://play.google.com/intl/en_us/a...t-offer-terms/
Valid for a $7 credit against a purchase in Google Play Games on PC beta on Google Play (in-app subscriptions excluded). Open to select participants based on their purchase history. Credit available to users that install Google Play Games on PC beta for the first time until May 31. Credit applied at checkout. If the cost of the in-app purchase on Google Play Games on PC beta is less than this credit offer, there is no refund or credit of the difference. Credit expires May 31. Limit 1 per user. Valid in United States only, and for purchases made in USD. Google reserves the right to cancel this promotion at any time if fraudulent activities are detected. Google Payments account required. Age restrictions apply. See Google Content Promotion Terms and Google Play Terms for more information. Promoter: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA
It's basically ports of Android games to PC. Lots of F2P stuff at the moment. I think the purchases should reflect back to the Android version of the game too, if you have it.

I bought Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. It's free download, but only a demo, then $5.49 IAP to unlock full game. You can "buy" it right away from the game menu. So I didn't get the full $7 "value," but I did get a game for free.

Well, it is still technically a "beta," so maybe the games list will expand once they "launch" it proper. It did pop up a number of feedback forms after a left my first game session, used the client, etc. It does require hardware virtualization be on, but I think the games need to be ported to x86, instead of using the ARM versions used on phones. It does mention that at least some games "have been optimized for PCs," which means they can use controllers and such.

I chose a game and random and then it wanted to install this and do that and I was like I'm out. Too much hassle.

This is a fun game, I have it via GamePass. There’s a sequel, Turnip Boy Robs a Bank coming later this year.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

They must be having a sale because Borderlands Legendary is 9.99. What's interesting is that the two lesser vertions are also 9.xx it may be a price mistake.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

So Steam also has the Metro Saga Bundle for $12.49 and even though I already had Last Light Redux free through Epic, $12.49 for 2033 Redux and Exodus + expansion pack was a good price.
