Why aren’t the Resistance games available if they’re PS owned?

They're PS3 games, not playable on a PS5 (besides streaming for PS Plus Premium members).

Some good games are up to 70% off over at Nintendo.

https://www.nintendo.com/store/games/deals/

Might I recommend Dicey Dungeons for $1.99.

The latest in the long line of regular GOG freebies looks pretty nice; Ghost of a Tale.

I successfully resisted the urge to buy what would be something like my 40th handheld electronic device. Sadly, if I had gotten in on the deal on day one, I’d almost definitely have a Switch right now. And I’m sure the 12 free games are nothing better than the free stuff on iOS and steam all the time.

Ha! Yeah, I won't refuse something for free, but these 12 games are in nobody's list of reasons to buy a switch. So bullet dodged (for now) I guess.

Man I never even get around to play AAA first-party Switch games any more. I've long since learned to actively avoid grabbing shovelware just because it's free.

I need your brain. I’m a hoarder by nature, but most of it is of the free variety at least. Still don’t need 99% of it…..

You could get Dicey Dungeons for $2... that's not a bad choice.

(... and no, I don't get a kickback for shilling that game. I think it's great and worth at least $2).

That's absolutely worth it for 2 bucks (and more). As are:
Hollow Knight for 7.50
Hades for 12.49
Ori and the Will of the Wisps for 10.19
Axiom Verge for 5.99
Celeste for 4.99

and remakes/rereleases like
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2 for 15.99
Portal Companion Collection for 13.39

Lots of great great stuff on sale at or near all time lows.

Untitled Goose Game is really popular too. Not sure of its price history or previous sales.

According to Deku Deals, it's matching its previous lowest price right now:

Just a warning that it's 2k so it forces that launcher on you on PC (and makes it a pain if not impossible to play on Steam Deck)

The Epic Games Store is once again hosting its 15 Days of Christmas giveaway event. From now through December 29, you can claim one free game every day on the Epic Games Store.

Very nice Epic Games freebie today. It's already in my library which means it must have been free previously, though.

I am assuming tomorrow is Lego LOTR.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Best Buy has Mario + Rabbids: Spark of Hope - Cosmic Edition (Switch) for $39.99 ($20 off) and it comes with a digital download code for the original Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle - Standard Edition (Switch) game.

If you have any rewards laying around, might be a good thing to use them on. I had $35, so I scored it for $5. Merry Christmas to me. (I already have the original, so I’ll gift that code to my son.)

That is a good deal... but last week it was like 31.99 with the download code for the original.

Plus it's Ubisoft, it'll keep dropping like a rock like the first one. Just a heads up, if you've already opened it and plan on switching it out with the Best Buy one to get your money back, you can't because the BB one is an exclusive with some extra dlc.

Nope. It's something called "Lego : Builder's Journey". But free is free. And it's free today.

It's a game I've had my eye on for a while. It's especially great that Epic is giving it away; the controls sound like they lend themselves much better to PC than a console. Supposedly it's pretty fiddly, but a puzzle/physics based Lego game is definitely intriguing to me. I'm kind of surprised how low-profile Builder's Journey is: pretty much zero buzz, very few reviews, the only Lego game I can think of in ages to bypass a physical release...
