Will the Cyberpunk 2077 Steelbooks be available in-store?

This may get me to re-order my pre-order. Cancelled it recently. Gotta see if there is anything I need though.

I canceled and re-pre-ordered Cyberpunk. Unfortunately there wasn't much else that I wanted/didn't already have (and thanks to a weird quirk, I had purchased Valhalla at Target and Immortals through Amazon so I couldn't do a retroactive return of eligible games).
Settled on Dirt 5 and Planet Coaster. Thanks to my still-active GCU it came in at under $100 + tax for the three. Looking forward to trying a racing game with the dual sense controller.

Yeah, because the pricing is all over the place and first person PS5 titles aren't included, I can't find something decent to match with Cyberpunk...

Hmmm. I have it pre-ordered at Amazon for $49. I don’t really need a steelbook. In fact I was considering the digital version so I can play it anytime (and early) without having to swap the disc. But digital is regular price and I can’t get rid of it later. Decisions decisions.

Right? $70 for NBA 2k21 is laughable. In 2 weeks it’ll be a year behind by season standards.

What do you mean? 2K21 is this upcoming season's game edition.

I think he means the rosters it came out with are last year's rosters, though the rosters will obviously be updated for the new season by then.

I'm 99% sure they will have some kind of sale when the season starts, though. I won't lie, that was basically the only other title in that list of games on the B2G1F that I was kind of interested in, having gotten Yakuza and Assassins' Creed already for cheaper.

That's fair. If it didn't include Cyberpunk pre-order, a game I had already ordered from Best Buy, I would have passed.
For me, since I was getting Cyberpunk already, it was a question of were there two game I wanted to get for the price of one.

If you don't have it, I do recommend Immortals Fenyx Rising. It's cute and fun.

Well shit. I have Cyberpunk preordered from before when my GCU expired and just picked up CoD last week using a 10% off birthday coupon. So I’d effectively have to ‘pay’ $19 for another game, as well as venture inside a Best Buy for a return of CoD. Since I already have Valhalla, Immortals, Watch Dogs, Borderlands 3 and Avengers, I think I’ll have to pass. It’s a nice deal for those who had more self control than I did from launch through Black Friday.

Was Yakuza on the list? I don't see it. That's one that could push me over the edge. As of now, I'm having trouble putting together a group of 3 that I want. If something like Sackboy was eligible, which I will probably buy for my kids for Christmas anyway, I would probably jump in, but I'm really not seeing how this works out in my favor otherwise. The two eligible games that I am interested in (Cyberpunk and Valhalla) are both single player affairs that will almost certainly be cheaper in the not too distant future. My backlog will keep me entertained in the meantime.

Probably going to decide what I want to do today.

If all else fails, I can always buy 2 copies of Cyberpunk 2077 and split the cost with a friend who wants the game.

Yeah, Yakuza was already on discount and will be again. Cyberpunk will surely be on a deeper sale by the time I get it (and by the time it gets the true next gen upgrades). Thanks for the heads up, though, still contemplating.

Apparently for some reason Yakuza is on the list for Xbox but not for PlayStation. I only have a PS5. I was filtering the list by PlayStation, which is why I didn't see it.

I don't think the PS5 version of Yakuza comes out until much later.

Gotcha, I saw that it has a free next gen upgrade coming and assumed that it was a similar deal to Cyberpunk. I didn't realize that the full Series X version was out now and the PS5 version isn't.
