Yea...that deal on Gears 4 is really good. I picked it up two weeks ago when it was $29 and thought that was outstanding. I'm playing it on the pc and so far it has the feel and look of the GOW 1-3. I have not played Horde yet....

And now Forza Horizon 3 & Dead Rising 4 are back to $24 w/ GCU

I get that, but you have to admit MS has been more quick to drop prices recently. Dead Rising 4 hasn't even been out a month yet and it's already $30 at Gamestop, Amazon, and Best Buy. The Last Guardian came out the same day and hasn't even been on sale yet...

I haven't really been following prices for Uncharted 4 but I don't remember it going below $30 either. And that's a game that came out in May. GoW4 on the other hand though is consistently $30 or cheaper and came out in October.

Went to a Walmart today in an area I rarely frequent and found 2 of these despite brickseek saying there were 0 available(I know bs only provides an "estimate"). I also found one of the $40 WD 2tb listed a couple of post above this one. I bought the 2 $49 ones but passed on the $40 as I could tell it had been previously opened(hdd was in the package backward).

How do you even claim Burnout? I cant figure it out. Or do you have to be on the 360 to do it?

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

***Edit*** Think I finally figured it out, but it is making me add a credit card to my account to download a free game. Fuck that.

If you try to download it from the website, it's going to ask you for a credit card. But if you do it from the system itself it does not.

Well it wouldn't let me do it on the One and I didn't have the power cord for my 360. It really does seem way too complicated, especially compared to how easy it is on PSN.

I believe buying a 360 game from the XB1 is using the same system as the website does, so you still need a CC attached to the account. This is better than when the XB1 first was released and you couldn't buy 360 titles on it at all.

My understanding is that it has to do with how they designed the 360 digital download system back in the day; I don't think they anticipated people wanting to buy from anything but the console, and they originally didn't have free Games with Gold on it. The switch from point to currency for pricing probably didn't help. This is why you retain ownership of the GwG 360 games even if you drop Gold, while you lose access to the XB1 titles if you drop Gold.

If you're paranoid about adding a CC to your account, you can use a prepaid CC with a fixed amount. Another option may be to see if any of your credit cars offer virtual card numbers. Citi offers one:
https://www.cardbenefits.citi.com/Pr...ccount-Numbers

Another option may be to open a secondary Paypal account without any payment options tied to it.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Looks like all Visa.

I'm having to get creative since GCU puts two games at $96 and using RZ certs doesn't work unless you have $100 + that amount. i.e. the Visa deal is strictly $100 in cart after discounts but before tax.
