Okay, now that's a deal, especially the gold edition. I'll see if I can swing by a Target later today. Thank you!

The first decent deal of the day. Rachet & Clank is up for $19.99.

Doom at $29.99 and Uncharted 4 SE for $25 were better deals, though the latter was an Alexa deal.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Well yeah, I was being a little sarcastic. The XB1 deal was easily the best deal of the day. Uncharted is awesome if you have Alexa.

I'm still waiting for Doom to hit $20, which shouldn't be much longer.

If you're interested in the physical release of Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition for the Xbox One, NewEgg has it for $11.99 shipped (after coupon code EMCELFJ35). I loved the initial release and was thinking about replaying it anyway, so I went ahead and ponied up the few extra bucks for this one.

Can't you just upgrade to the Definitive Edition for $5? Unless you didn't own the original game and played it somewhere else, or that offer isn't available anymore.

Thanks . Also, others should note that this comes with a digital code for the original release and a soundtrack cd. It's something that I wish more companies would do once they go from digital to physical. Honestly, at this price, you can sell the original code for $5-$6 bucks and then you have a nice copy of the game for pocket change.

That is exactly why more companies don't do it. You are selling off a copy of the game which they get no money from which loses them sales.

I guess I should say it better (because I completely understand that)....I was more referring to the fact that they included extra stuff like the DC & the soundtrack. Like Life is Strange did with their collector's/limited edition. Not just slap it on a disc (not even include a manual these days) and sell it at the same price (I'm looking at you Tales of the Borderlands).

I know it doesn't exactly make financial sense, but I really love the game and like the idea of having a physical copy. That and the soundtrack CD are worth an extra $5.99 to me.

I'm not exactly sure what the qualifications are, but you can also use this code for Halo 5: Guardians Limited Edition and take off $24. Also, to use this code, you have to subscribe to their newsletter, which can you do on the checkout page. Thanks, Adam!

I also noticed that they didn't take the 20% off when I ordered, so I did a quick chat and they adjusted the price to $30.46. Pretty damn good deal for a preorder.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I am giving Amazon CS hell right now for not applying the discount. For some reason, the XBOX ONE version of the game is eligible for the 20% discount, the PS4 version is not (according to the rep). That is bullshit.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Lots of strong deals today at Best Buy if you're both Elite and GCU. WiiU titles for $23.99 include Star Fox, Mario Maker, Xenoblade and Yoshi. Lots of PS4 and Xbone titles for anywhere from $11.99 to $23.99. Slammed at work, so I don't have time to transcribe a list, but thought I'd share. Found out through an email to Elite members advertising it as early access to Black Friday in July.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

It really is a Black Friday preview : the GCU discount don't work!

Nothing in that sale for me as I don't have a WiiU.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

It worked for me. The WiiU games mentioned should be $29.99 for elite members without GCU and the three I ordered were $23.99 each. Among the PS4 titles I recall were Until Dawn, Bloodborne, The Order and God of War 3 for $11.99 each for those who qualify.

Worked for me. Picked up Star Fox and Xenoblade, which I already have but bought within the past 30 days so will return the full priced copy.
