Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Apparently they've gone in and out of stock, so might be worthwhile checking back.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Looking at the Best Buy B2G1F.....I might do it but does it include the GC del of 20% off new games? I wouldn't mind grabbing Fallout 4 but the other two...too many choices....Mad Max, Divinity Original Sin, Battlefront, Just Cause 3,

I just got Battlefront, Fallout 4, and Black Ops 3 for PS4, with GC. Came out to 31.99 per game. Great deal.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Interesting side note, I chose in store pickup for my order and just happened to see the in-store ad covering the B2G1 deal, and it DOES say Fallout 4 and Battlefront are excluded titles. Interesting. My order went through fine, so not sure if the deal is slightly different online, or if in store purchases will still apply the deal to those 2 games.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I grabbed 3 games in store earlier today for a friend and one of them was Battlefront and there were no problems getting it as part of the sale.

That's really weird of them. Both games are featured among others in the banner advertising this on their homepage.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

My store still had Transformers Devastation marked as $25 from Cyber Monday. I really just settled for these due to shitty stock at the end of 2015:

Hasbro Collection - $40
Wolfenstein - $30
TF: Dev - $0

Less GCU 20% off, I walked out at $56. I'm going to try to find something better at a different store later this week. I was really hoping to find Alien Isolation or Toy Soldiers.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I ordered

Fallout 4
Just cause 3
Assassins Creed syndicate

Came to about $100 after tax.
I used my 81$ gift card after trading in metal gear and uncharted collection.
I used $15 reward cert from buying call of duty bops 3

So after those I was about $4 out of pocket.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Finished up my Christmas shopping with Rock Band 4, Rainbow Six: Siege, and Uncharted Collection for me. Finally bit on GCU as well since it only cost 8 bucks after the added discount. Throw in the three games I bought on Black Friday and this is the first time in over a decade that I did more of my shopping at Best Buy than Amazon.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

From bed I bought

Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition - $30 ($24 after GCU)
Toy Soldiers: War Chest HoF Edition - $30 ($24 after GCU)
Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse Edition - $0

Not too bad for $18 each.

...Outstanding deal and selection. I might trade in my COD:BOIII and go with this after all. I have a friend at work who was playing Starwars but said after two weeks it started to becoming boring. He got Rainbow Six Siege and said it's night & day above Starwars...so it might be Fallout, Just Cause and RS:Siege

Rise of the Tomb Raider is $39.99 at Target and Amazon.

Might be worth it if you don't have 2 other games to buy at the moment from Best Buy

Some pretty good XB1 bundles over at Target to stack with the 15% cartwheel

http://slickdeals.net/f/8358065-xbox...store-only?v=1

Forza 1TB bundle (that controller is dope!) for $300 or even the GOW bundle for $255. Probably going to be the cheapest deal before Xmas.

Goddamn. I know $20 isn't going to break most people, but is there any reason to buy a non-multiplayer game day one anymore when these sales happen for so many big releases?

You're awake at 4 AM when all games including preorders are half off at Best Buy

Battlefront is now $39.99 (for PS4) on Amazon and GameStop, driving the used price down to $33.

If you go GCU discount and play/beat it w/in a month, you can usually trade it in for what you paid. Essentially a free game +bonus credit if you preordered a game that was on BB's $10 list.

Because Rise of the Tomb Raider cost me $38 on release date (once you figure in the Rewards Certificate).

The real kicker is at Gamestop. If you pick up the game and the season pass, you save another $30. So now you can get the complete package for $60. That's a big fuck you to everyone that already picked it up in the past 3 weeks it's been out. Maybe it's not selling as well as people thought it would.

Besides GCU + 10 preorder bonus, but in general any game released in the month or so before Black Friday is going to be discounted, even if it's just a B2G1F sale.

For non-multiplayer games, where there's even less urgency to play right away, you might as well wait anyway.

I bought that dumb J Stars Victory PS4 game because it was very niche and I figured it'd be kinda hard to find. I had previously imported it thinking it wouldn't come over. That was in late June. Last month it was 12 bucks digitally. 12 bucks. And there was a 10% off code for that as well.

With digital releases, nothing even gets rare anymore what's the rush? Plus the experience is arguably superior with digital since you don't have to switch disks and it takes the same amount of hdd space.

Sometimes you just want to be part of the cultural zeitgeist that comes with a new game release.

That $250 Halo 5 collectors edition with the statue is down to $99 on Amazon. I guess it was pretty limited
