Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I will say if all of you go thru the game together for the first time it will be a blast. However if any of you want to try for the second play thru shoot me a invite...because it is a PITA no joke challenge which I never did complete with all the characters.

And if you really want a good laugh...have everyone use the "Brick" character and shotguns only but just simply go around and gang up on everything and just beat the crap out of them. Four "Brick" characters all growling at the same time is just too much....

If you're going to grab Final Fantasy XIII-2, be sure you get the version with the Episode i-novella in pack. I actually got the one without it, but as I passed by the video rack one more time, saw that this edition is available for same price, so was able to change it before leaving.

I'm 0 for 2 now trying to get Batman: AC. Last time they didn't have any copies of the game, and this time they didn't have any of the magazines.

Thank you for the tip, I was able to get a copy with the Novella no problem. Had I not known, there is a good possibilty I would have missed it. Easy peasy with the coupon today and back into the games of shame pile with it .

Amazon has matched Best Buy's sale price of $29.99 for SSX. Time to bite, I think.

Went to Best Buy yesterday and grabbed a FF XIII-2 (w/novella), Batman AC (w/Robin DLC), and even picked up the PS3 Assassin's Creed Revelations (w/AC1) since it was on sale for $20.

Remind me, do I have to argue with TRU about tax on these cards?

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

I got an email from NewEgg this evening with a coupon code for 20% off Xbox 360 accessories. Their 1600 point cards are 18.99 (49.xx for 4000) so I bought 5 with that. $75.96, no tax, no driving, no arguing for 8000 points is good enough for me. That's 105 MSP/$ which is a bit of a bargain these days.

Re: The Video Game Deals Thread

Amazon has dropped the price of Tiger Woods 13 to $50 for the Standard Edition and $60 for the Collector's Edition.

The Collector's Edition has Augusta Par 3, Oakmont, Pinehurst #2, The Old White TP #2, and Whistling Straits exclusively. Those courses are not available for DLC at the moment, so getting the Collector's Edition is the only way to play those five courses.

If you can find it apparently target has the CE on clearance for 30 bucks, but of course with target clearance it's YMMV

No tax at Toys R Us. Picked up 4000 pts for 42.49 since I didn't get the newegg code.

Cool.

If you are ever looking to beat one of Moxy's Arenas let me know, I never did finish all of those for the achievements.

Larry, I saw you on last night right before we got off. We'll have to try and catch each other again one night.

Never did either and not many did....it's a good 4-5 hr marathon that all three have to be done in one session. Just the single battles are cool but getting the extra storage for all your extra "goodies" came in handy

I saw you too. But even though I wanted to keep playing Borderlands my buddy wanted to go some Red River, which I'm glad cause it was a pretty damn cool mission we did.

My guy is a Level 10 Soldier I have been hesitant to join online for fear I won't get to do any of the missions I am currently working on.
