Not only is Ascension: Chronicle of the Godslayer on sale again for $.99 but so are both expansions. The promo card set has always been $.99 I think. If you like CCG it's definitely worth it. Feel free to add me on game center if you would like to play it, anyone...

anyone play Final Fantasy 1 on their phone? How would you rate it? I have not played it since the original over 20 years ago, and thought it might be fun going back...

Just got this yesterday. I figure I'll have fun with it for a bit, but once I reach the point of having to pay for most things I'll quit.

Nostalgia factor is high but the game itself can be a little bit of a grind here and there. Presentation is nice as well. Worth it for a couple of dollars if it holds true nostalgic value only. I wouldn't recommend it to people not raised on old school RPGs.

Spent way too much this weekend, bought and played a ton of Puzzle Craft, which I'm liking a lot. Also played a ton more of Songpop. And the expensive part was I finally broke down and bought the iPad versions of Ticket to Ride and its expansions (probably played about 15 games of it this weekend) and Catan HD (probably should've waited for possible sale with the new expansion coming soon, but we played quite a bit of it too).

Galaxy on Fire 2 HD was on sale for .99 briefly, but is back up to its regular $10 price. But the trip to AppShopper wasn't a total waste, as Sprinkle, a Feed Me Oil/Where's My Water type game, is now free and fun so far.

It should be back on sale soon, if it isn't already. They had some sort of pricing bug. Great game, worth the $10, so 99 cents is a complete steal.

I want to like Puzzle Craft, but it seems like they are really pushing for me to buy coins, which I refuse to do.

Puzzle Craft destroyed my save game and I lost everything. Got a refund from Apple.

Me neither. If you do, you are playing wrong.

That null-string bug that people are seeing has caused me to stop playing it until they fix it. I'd be so pissed to completely lose all my progress.

Me too, I normally would've just went ahead and continued playing, but I've decided to hold off on it since they've already submitted the update.

Don't know the first thing about it, but you just sold me. It's 99 cents now. Bought it.

Awesome. It's a really good game, same with the expansion. You can buy the expansion in game, or if you buy the non-HD version of GoF2 you'll get it it for free, so you can wait for a sale on that one if you want to get the expansion for cheap. They also have another expansion coming out soon.

It's a really good Freelancer type of game. Graphics are great too.

I saw it went back on sale, tried to buy it, but no space on my device. Spent 20 minutes trying and deleting various free apps, go back and it's full price again. Almost took that as a sign to save my buck, but checked later and the third time was a charm.

Darn you! I can't stop playing it now too!

Have any tips? Do you use the tools alot during the harvesting/gathering puzzles? Any particular build order once the tutorial is done?

I use tools quite a bit, especially the one to remove all grass, and the shovel in the mine, they are easy to make, and can really extend your runs. Using fertilizer+grass remover (pitchfork maybe?) is a good combo, yields a ton of wheat.

Also, I tended to focus on all of the stuff to increase my farming yields a bit, before focusing more on the mine. Ever since then, I've just been keeping it balanced between the two.

Oh, and the scarecrows are awesome, they give you a ton of free tools.

I bought this on Monday and have been playing a ton. I'm up to lvl. 13 and upgraded to a Village. I put in 2 solid hours straight last night and finally ran out of coins. That was the first time. I'm already back up to about 600 though. I doubt I'll run out again. It's probably one of the more generous "freemium" games I've played. They give you a decent amount when you level plus the 40+ in taxes is plenty to keep you going.

Speaking of, I was kinda bummed that taxes aren't based on number of workers though, but based on your towns designation instead.

I've been checking my phone every couple of hours though to claim my taxes and items that pop up. I should have quite a stash by the time I get to sit down and play it again.

Re: Puzzle Craft

How do you get the chickens and pigs? I know that if you collect X of grain, trees, whatever, then a chicken or pig will appear but I can never get 3 of them to line up. Do you have to use the tools to gather them? E.g. pig wheelbarrow, chicken crate? I've used those a couple of times but then I seem to never have enough to actually collect 1 resource (e.g. collect 8 pigs = 1 pig resource).

Do resources you collect during farming/mining carry over to the next time you farm/mine or only if you choose and pay for that option at the end?

Thanks
