Do people do it here and is it recommended? I want customization of look.

Jailbreaking sounds like a gray area of discussion in an app thread since most people that I know that jailbreak do so to load pirated apps.

That statement is so misguided and incorrect as to be laughable.

*Ooops, I only skimmed the comment and just noticed the 'most people I know' part; as a jailbreaker for the last 1.5 years, I've not once downloaded a pirated app.*

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

Jailbreaking should hardly be considered a "gray area". Wasn't it ruled legal, in sort sort of court of law? Federal or some shit?

Okay, let's discuss jailbreaking in an app thread then :P

EA has a big sale going on for the Holiday. I'm looking forward to Dead Space, NBA Jam, and Scrabble all on iPad for $0.99

Thanks for posting.

Yeah, thanks. Lame it's not a universal app though.

EA sale going on right now, everything is 99 cents, except Rock Band Reloaded (at least for now).

I use this link to track the price drops easier (here is the iPad link, but you can select iPhone too):
http://appshopper.com/ipad/

I'll be getting Real Racing 2 HD this time around. But, I definitely recommend NBA Jam, Scrabble and Dead Space (as mentioned previously).

Yeah, it seems like I use the AppShopper app more than I play games on my iPad, lol.

GamePrices is an awesome app, and it's free. Like RedLaser but specifically video games with reviews, new/used/trade-in prices. Works great on my iPhone.

I just downloaded the free version of Where's My Water. Have heard a lot about this game and this just launched 12/14 so I'm going to give it a shot.

I'm up to 125 floors, though I only play sporadically, certainly much less than when I first started. Finally got all the achievements but then they added all these missions..

It's like the Kairosoft games, I wean myself off of them knowing that if I ever jump back in, I'll get addicted again.

I'm at only 28 floors a few days in. It's really tempting to just put it away for a few hours as my stuff builds, but then I miss out on the bux and stuff that I need.

And damn, I just downloaded a few of the Kairosoft freebies. This could be bad since I got completely hooked on Civilization many years ago.

That game is one of the best $0.99 games I got yet!

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

The new Midway Arcade app came out today. It contains emulations of Spy Hunter, Rampage, Joust, Root Beer Tapper, Defender, and Arch Rivals, along with "Air Hockey, Arcade Basketball, Pool, and Roll Ball" -- 3D recreations of arcade attractions. Great deal for introductory price of 99 cents. Nice Arcade presentation in a better Virtual Arcade room that puts Game Room :rip: to shame. Games spit out virtual tickets to redeem for virtual "prizes" at the redemption stand.
Unfortunately controls totally suck and Tapper is just about unplayable. Still for 99 cents I bought it in hopes that they improve it eventually. No iCade support at present, but it would be sweet with that (especially the new model that supports landscape games). There are two in-app bundles of three games each for 99 cents each. One had Gauntlet 1&2, the other had NARC and a couple more.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

I also dropped the buck on Midway today, but have no intention of playing it before iCade is supported. It's gotta be coming, right?

I got my wife to install it and she's hooked now.

I guess I'll pick up that midway pack. I also hope an iCade update comes out soon.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

Wow, that Midway pack is what the Game Room on Xbox Live SHOULD have been. So much better, and priced appropriately.

Didn't like Tiny Tower. Found the EA version, Monopoly Hotels, only slightly better.

Simpsons Tap Out is fun, though. The fact that it's licensed (with an interesting property) is what makes me want to play it.

Anyone else on EA Origins? Is there a sharing thread for usernames? Mine is Chiwotweiler, just like on PSN, Xbox, Steam, etc.
