From the Internets.

That's a 10W APC Universal battery, and if you use that formula, you should get 3 full cycles of the 2G Touch + the internal Touch battery. If it's wrong maybe someone can use all that information to come up with the correct amount of time that portable battery can power the 2G Touch

As far as I could gather:
The Touch's voltage is 3.6, the Touch battery is 900 mAh, and that portable battery is 10 WH.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

I think part of what she is showing is the Jailbreak but besides I am confused. I attempted to Jailbreak mine but it didn't take and was too annoyed to do it again . I'll try again later.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

I've done the jailbreak 4-5 times and also went 2.0.1 -> 2.2 -> 2.1, so if you need help let me know

That had nothing to do with the jailbreak, I'm trying to figure out how long a 10 Watt Hour portable battery should power a 2G Touch.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

I meant the blue battery icon. It's not so much that I couldn't do it I just didn't time it quite right (qwikpwn) and it didn't take . So the time it take to wipe restore and then attempt the jailbreak again I wasn't up for it. Also what makes me mad is the restore does not restore where your icons were they go back to alphabetical which sucks because I spent half an hour one day moving icons

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

Well I think I finished Puzzle Quest. There is just one city with a quest and I can't do it because it needs level 45 and the game says level 25 is the max you can attain. I sent the developer an email about this (it's be nice to have something that says "Congratulations! This chapter is complete. Please continue on to the next chapter" instead of finishing a battle and then... nothing.

Took about 20 hours and LOVED IT. Best $10 I've spent on the Touch.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

I must admit, I grabbed Bejeweled 2 on special, and without the incentives to play that Puzzle Quest provides I found the whole thing pretty damn boring.

I'd love a higher end rpg with Puzzle Quest style combat.

Has anyone played 7 Cities? What's it like?

http://appshopper.com/games/7-cities-td

I ask because it's currently on special, $2.99.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

I bought it (I don't think I paid $5 so it was on special before too) and I haven't really played it. Fieldrunners is much better. Maybe I haven't given it enough of a chance.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

Tower defense game for a buck: The Creeps (temporary price reduction).

I want to try Pinball Dreaming but at $6 it's hard to jump in. Been burned by too many $6-$10 games (Rolando, Spore, Ferrari GT).

Just found an AWESOME game. For any Picross lover, get Glyphos. Just a buck. The one thing that tripped me up at first is that there may be multiple solutions to a puzzle. 200 levels, 4 difficulties.

If you buy Glyphos, make sure before exiting you go back to the map and then save!! Because it doesn't autosave and I had about two rows of puzzles done and had to start over... grr.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

Just bought The Creeps, only the 2nd app I've paid for.

Really enjoy it, and it and the free TD games will tide me over until FieldRunners goes on sale.

The $1 iPhone/iPod Touch Games Thread

I wanted to separate this one so that the deals don't get lost in the other one. I'm going to keep this first post updated. I'll be adding a ton in the next coming days.

The iPhone/iPod Touch games are a bargain because you can get lengthy/engrossing/deep games for a buck, and content is added to them all the time.

The list. If you see something for more than a buck, let me know! If you have games to contribute, post them here and I'll add them to the list! $1 games only! If it's a buck for a limited time, please post that information also so I can delete it when it goes back up.

Spoiler:
  • Glyphos - 200 levels, 4 difficulties, Picross-like game, with a bit of the DS game Colour Cross.
  • Tangram Puzzle Pro (and its accompanying free holiday edition) - the main edition has 480 puzzles, and the holiday edition has over 70 puzzles. They seem to add to the main version all the time. Like the DS game Neves.
  • Drop 7 - You have a 7X7 grid and balls numbered 1-7. Put two balls together, and if one of those two balls has a 2, it disappear. If the other ball was a 1, now that one disappears. Semi-cracked bricks and regular bricks abound, and for the semi-cracked bricks you have to have a match next to it to reveal a ball with a number, and the regular brick you have to make 2 matches next to it to reveal a ball with a number.
  • Touch Physics - Get a ball on one side to the screen to the other side, using objects you draw (balls/boulders, lines/ramps) as aids. Follows real-world physics.
  • Gemmed! - Puzzle Quest clone.

This can go in the main Ipod touch game thread. No need for another.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk

In my mind it's easier to find the first post in a thread that a post in the middle of the fourth page of another, but you're the mod

I'll keep it updated if it's actually going to help someone. No use to update something that's not going to get any views.

So I'll just create a Google document. PM through here if you want to be added to it and I'll add you, and we can all edit the document.

Never mind the game (which looks cool, it's called "Chuck The Ball" for $3), but I kept thinking "The name's Bond. Finger Bond" because of how he goes swipe swipe swipe in all directions really fast

That's the developer playing. His finger skills show even better as the video progresses (he goes from easy to medium to hard).

I'm a big fan of the PDA Mill games like Glyphos and wanted to mention they have all recently received updates to make them play better on the iPhone. They were originally designed for the Pocket PC and a standard stylus, but they have gone back and made them work much better with finger touch control.

For 99 cents each I can't recommend their games enough. I paid $10 for many of the same games on the Palm OS. Just search for PDA Mill to see their library. They have a couple of really good solitaire packs and I love GameBox Asia. The tiles are a bit small, but I adjusted pretty quickly. They have tons of great modes for Mahjong Solitaire.
