Blimp looks like an accelerometer game which normally annoy me.
I did buy Mecho Wars though because i like turn based strategy and honestly, 99 cents is nothing.

I agree, usually hate accelerometer games, intensely. But this one I'm enjoying for some reason. Probably helps that the graphics and overall polish on Blimp are top notch, and the soundtrack seems to worth a buck by itself.

It is funny, I have bought 3 games so far and I don't even have an touch (plan on picking up a 3rd generation). When a very well reviewed game drops from $5 to $1, it is hard to resist.

Hero of Sparta is great. Question for folks with Peggle I have a 1st gen touch which is the slowest machine and am wondering what the performance is like on the other phones/ipods because there is a lot of slow down on mine.

I have a second gen Ipod touch and don't have any slow down. Did you upgrade to OS.3 ?

1. 3GS
2. 2nd gen itouch
3. 3G
4. 1st gen iphone
i personally went from 3G to 3GS this weekend and there is a NOTICABLE jump in performance. I would say between these two, peggle loads about 3 times faster. with my 3G there would be significant slowdown when hitting the last orange peg. none with 3GS.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
That's what I was looking for if there was only a slight difference I wasn't going to think too much about upgrading to the 3rd gen touch in September but if it is significant then I might have to .

I agree. The problem with these constant sales is it makes you hesitant to buy anything for regular price. I waited on Peggle and Sparta among many games that dropped to 99 cents eventually. I will occasionally spend $1.99 on a game I really like, but other than that it has become a dollar or wait.

Yep, so many games are either free or 99 cents that I'm jaded. I did pay $3 for Defender Chronicles, but I've more than gotten my money's worth already, and they plan weekly new maps. Also paid $10 for MLB, but that thing is worth $50. But for the most part, I don't expect to ever pay more than $1 again.

The full I Am Ninja! app is now free. It dropped to 99 cents then to free. For some reason, it showed up as 99 cents through my Touch's WiFi app store but when I went to iTunes on my Mac, it was free.

For soccer fans out there, Real Soccer 09 is down to 99 cents. I have the game and I think is a great game and has EA FIFA game quality to it on the iPhone/iPod Touch.
The main reason for the price drop seems to be the release X2 Football which the reviews have indicated to be a better game than Real Soccer 09.

I finished Critter Crunch. It's only 40 levels so while it's good for 99 cents, won't be so hot on PSN for $5-$10. Hopefully they add more levels for that release.
