Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
They've opened up development to anyone, so both old and new games could support the cabinet as a control scheme.

Maybe you should have mentioned it here several days ago ;) I found it off SD so I guess it's gaining traction. People are such fickle bitches. I don't know what it hurts them to like something for a few days if they're just on FB anyway.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Here are two of my favorite most recent games. Of the two, jAggy Race is one of my favorite games on the entire iOS. Trust me, give it a shot. It's pretty incredible.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
On the iOS tip:
1) Quarrel - Scrabble meets Risk. It's awesome. There's a free version if you want to try it out. "Deluxe" version is $5 and has a good number of additional features. 2) Jetpack Joyride - Halfbrick's new game. $1, and it has a really neat mission/leveling structure that makes it pretty addictive. |
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Yeah, Jetpack Joyride is another really good recent release. I've poured lots of time into that one as well.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Gameloft currently has both the iPad and iPod versions Asphalt 6:Adrenaline for free, for a very limited time.

I have been all about the board game recently: Ghost Stories, Puerto Rico, Ascension... and of course. Tiny Tower! |

Check out Siege Hero. It's by the people who made Crush the Castle (another great game). It's basically an Angry Bird clone (same cartoony visuals and gameplay) except the viewing angle is straight on versus side scrolling ala Birds. Still very fun though!!

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Radiangames has released their first ios game. Super Crossfire. There is an iphone version which will work on older hardware and an HD version which is universal. The game is like a modified version of Space Invaders where you can switch between being on the bottom of the screen and the top.
http://appshopper.com/games/super-crossfire-hd I have liked every game the developer has released on XBLIA. |
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Microsoft has been busy. In addition to the recently released My Xbox Live app, they also put out a Halo Waypoint app and also released Kinectimals for iOS as well. Kinectimals is a stand alone game for $3 but it also unlocks 5 new cubs in the 360 game.
Non game related, but they also put up Skydrive today. |
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
 Are they really Kinectamals without a Kinect? Wonder how they unlock new cubs in the main game. That alone might be worth the $3 to me.

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Probably displays a code to get scanned in.

How is Dragon's Lair and Space Ace for iPhone?

Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Sonic CD is out for $1.99. Its really worth it if you are a Sonic fan. It has both the US and Japanese soundtrack to the game.

Haven't played Space Ace, as I've never seen it below its $4.99 price point. |
Re: iPhone/iPod Touch App Talk
Kinectimals actually turned out really nice. Like Nintendogs, but probably even better. Looks AMAZING on the iPad. Deal at $2.99. Haven't seen about the 360 unlock yet.
Finally upgraded to iOS 5.0 so I could play Zen Pinball. Wow, what a great conversion. Don't care that these are tables I already own; it's wonderful to have portable versions of them. Really amazing conversion. |

Dragon's Lair is great! A much better experience than when I played it on PCs before. I've never been able to finish the game in different PC versions, and I think I also had it in an old console as well (3DO?) Its much more forgiving, and thus enables you to finish the game without so much of the frustration.
