I picked up a few. Got a new 4th gen touch so the gaming seems to work better now. After the OS 4 update my 2nd gen because pretty unusable for games.

Anyway, loving Puzzle Agent, Spider and Angry Birds. Osmos was ok, but not the game of the year for iPhone IGN made it sound like. Also grabbed Monkey Island 2. Never got around to getting it on Xbox and $1 for it is just unbelievable.

I picked up Civ, spider and dungeons and dice. also noticed i had some more levels to do from the latest Angry Birds update

I'm happy that Peggle was .99. I also got Baseball Superstars. I played the lite version way back and wanted the full version, but didn't see it being worth the full price.

I enjoy how Angry Birds updates quite often.

For those interested, the Offical Risk game isn't very good. Well, actually, it is good enough. It just takes a long time to run through a game. The Lux DLX game is much better though and easily worth the extra $3.

I'm sorely disappointed with Call of Duty Zombies. The controls blow.

Found a great new puzzle game called Train Yard, currently $0.99. There is a lite version as well.

It's very simple in concept but the production values are very good. It seems to be well designed and the interface is very easy to use. Basically the idea is you draw train tracks to get a train or trains from the station to the depot (Point A to Point B). The puzzles haven't been that hard to figure out but I'm only 1/4 of the way through it currently.

Wish Sword and Poker 3 would come out soon. That game is fantastic.

Which ones? I bit on Nectaris but only because I was a huge fan of the TG16 original. Is there a line of games that emulate Advance Wars, or are you just asking in general?

I also have Mecho Wars, UniWar, and Transformers, which are all ok.

Anyone play game dev story? I'm tempted to wait for a sale, but it's been getting glowing reviews.

I just typed in "Advanced Wars" in the app search and it came up with a few (like Mecho Wars and UniWar)... but these don't look quite like what I want. I'm looking for a game like Advanced Wars with Tanks, planes, etc. Hell, even Xbox Live Arcade released a similar game a year or so ago; you'd think the iPod/Pad would be the perfect media for a game like that.

Try Nectaris: Military Madness. It was on sale for .99 a few weeks ago, and if it's still that price it's a steal. I consider Advance Wars a Nectaris clone, myself.

Just got an Ipod Touch 3g 32gb (my first ipod), can anyone recommend any essential games to start out with?

I'd recommend The Creeps and Ragdoll Blaster. Plus some freebie tracking apps so you never pay for an app of course.
